New scene I'm going to be adding to Book 1, from Katrina's diary: The day she sealed Gabriel away. Gabriel calls her to his house to settle everything once and for all.
I'm going to be listening to Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt on repeat, because it's the perfect song for that scene. I dare you to listen to it and tell me I'm wrong.

New reader! Wow I'd love to hear your opinions on the books. I've spent five years writing them, so hearing from someone who has them all fresh in their mind is a treat.

And yes, I can totally see that as well. Maybe Sybil would toss out a line. "Callie, are you having a stroke?" I should get back to those two...

I'm a new reader and only recently caught up to the current chapters. :)

I imagine her sitting on the couch with her eye twitching and Sybil waving her hand in front of Calypso's face, confused. xD

This is the first comment I remember reading of yours, and it's GOLD. I'm DYING.

I WANT to say that of course in no way would Callie spy on them in this way, but we all know that's not the case... I mean, yeah, she's a lesbian, but think of the blackmail she has now...

If you recall in book 2 Dimitri goes against his Father's wishes and 'rescues' (kidnaps) Angie before Gabriel can get her killed. His Father scolds him, mentioning that something like this had happned before. That's because when Dimitri invades someone's mind, he becomes obsessed with them until he eventually kills them. So if things had worked out for Dimitri at the party, then Angie would have suffered quite a bit.

I'm glad you're here more for the plot than the relationship. Gabriel and Angie have finally gotten together, but it doesn't mean they're going to have a Happily Ever After, at least not rght away or without a crapton of effort. Honestly, I see it as another beginning for them.

As far as Chris goes, I don't think he's suffering. Obviously he'd be happy with Angie, but he's always put what she wanted/needed first. If he wore a wristband it would say W.D.E.N, or What Does Evie Need. She needed him to be her big brother, so that's what he was to her.

She never told anyone about her rape, but Chris knew as soon as he saw her. He wanted to beat the living crap out of Jackson, but she stopped him. He also didn't tell her mother, because she didn't want that.

Honestly, if anyone confronted Chris about all the attention Angie was getting now and how he kind of missed the boat he would shrug it off and say something like "Everyone is just now seeing what I've known was there all along."

He's a good character, and I think he deserves more story. ^_^

Dimitri had a twisted fascination for Angie. Technically not a suitor, since he mostly regarded her as a toy

    Aww. Poor Chris. TT.TT
Wow. Dimitri fell for her too? I had thought of it but I disregarded the thought because I felt he was too evil and was just using her. But I suppose it was his way of showing affection. XD This makes me wonder what he would have done to Angie if he had succeeded in his plan.

Oh no, it doesn't bother me at all. XD As far as I am concerned both versions were great. But I have to say... all this is doing a number on the image I had formed of Angie and Gabriel in my head. I mean it's not like I'm totally opposed to them having sexy time but I had never even though of it. I guess I was just too engrossed in the plot. And now the change is making me feel giddy. :v But I'm still loving it.

And BTW, I would absolutely love to read Chris's story. LOL, you know it's almost unfair... Chris has been crushing on Angie for SO long and the poor guy doesn't get any action in the end. I mean Kieran and Dimitri and even Callie got kisses (regardless the situation) and Gabriel got her love meanwhile Chris...

I believe there is almost 200 words of difference between the two versions, which is nothing to sneeze at. I tried to keep the FP one less explicit without sacrificing any of the feelings involved.

So, do this mean you don't object to how I wrote the chapter?

I barely hinted at it in the end of book 3. Angie was in the hospital at the time so I think it went under the radar. Also there was a stronger hint in a deleted scene, which I should probably post...

Seriously though, I feel like I've done the greatest injustice to Chris' character, because he's the only one who liked Angie before the books started. Kieran liked her practically at first sight, because he'd kinda built her up in his head before meeting her. Gabriel took a while, but got there. Dimitri fell for her after invading her mind. Meanwhile Chris has been in the background and all of a sudden there is SO MUCH COMPETITION. *sweats* I'm sorry Chris, I love you...

*slaps forehead* NO WAY! Chris had a crush on Angie!? When? How? No way! I just thought he was showing familial affection... I suppose, it is possible. It's not like they're blood related and Angie is a very likable and such an amazing person. Who wouldn't have a crush on her.

BTW, I noticed few difference between chapter 21 her and on FictionPress. I was expecting whole paragraphs but phew. I don't think I would've been able to handle that. LOL. XD

... I still can't grasp that Chris has had a crush on Angie. Are there any hints in The Paris Escapade? Or Nightmare City? I need to go through them again. :v

"Another possible reason for the above is that writing a convincing relationship, with genuine depth of character and development, is a much more difficult feat than pouring on the quick-reaction drama and will-they-wont-they. Once that latter crutch is no longer there for the writer to lean on, weaknesses in the writing suddenly show through that the audience was too distracted by the narrative tension to notice- or care about- earlier."

^- This is the only thing that reassures me even slightly. I know my plot is strong, I'm just hoping that my writing is up to snuff to properly convey it.

A couple of other fans have also assured me that they want to read tons more after this book, especially about other characters. That makes me feel better, but also makes me hyper aware that I can't mess this up.

It wasn't intentional, but the last book will really be a test of both me and the fans. The plot takes a turn for the epic and there's a lot to be revealed about Gabriel, who's still mostly shrouded in mystery. We keep going further and further into his past, but his origins have yet to be revealed.

As for expanding the universe... I have a lot of ideas. I was thinking of doing an entire book about Nora and her various trials and tribulations after this book. I was even thinking of having her visit Kyoto.

There's also a short story I started about Donovan and Gabriel. I'll prolly finish that after this book is done.

Sybil's a new vampire, so I also wanted to write about her experiences, perhaps in a short story.

And I've been meaning to get into Chris' back story more. It's a shame that the vampire plot kind of overshadows his job as a spy for the US Military. Plus I want to develop his character as he gets over Angie. (I bet no one even realized that he's had a huge crush on his 'sister' for years)

So many ideas running through my head. We'll see how things go...

I always wondered if I was weird for not being as interested in the story after the couple got together and had their firsts...
But I don't think this will happen with VS, because you've built so much plot into it that I want to see what happens outside of Gabriel and Angie.

They'll have to split this book into two movies...
