Oh my goodness, this broke my heart just a bit. Finnick's death was not something I handled very well (gross sobbing is my go to when characters I like die) when reading the books and reading this I almost wanted to cry again. First off, I think it was a brilliant idea to write a one-shot on Annie's reaction. Finnick and Annie were so sweet and I think you did a great job capturing her emotions when handling this news of Finnick's death. Your descriptions were just beautiful and made Annie's feelings just that much more realistic. You could just feel her despair and loss of control, but then she's kind of pulled back to the present by the reminder that not all was lost-- she's carrying Finnick's baby and she's got hope again. This was just so beautifully written and I think you did Annie's character justice. So glad that I read this.
