  • wow what a character teenage Caleb is, i understand why he is like that though fathers tend to treat the younger kids the best and its not fair to him that chris always favorites rain no matter what she does. But he should really try and be less rude before Chris does something worse then just a lashing ya know? im not hating on rain what so ever i actually really love her older character as well. theyre both some of my favorite characters.
I laughed quit a bit when her uncles were introducing themselves.
I love how no matter what Amery is doing she'll drop it just to see whats wrong with her son, its cute.
Chris favors rain, Amery favors caleb thats just how it is but its really adorable.

lovely chapter (as always) cant wait to read more. update soon!

  • I'd like to start by saying I 'AWWWWWWW'ed so hard and loud at the beginning that I woke my sister up. She's pissed, btw. But IDC CAUSE THIS WAS PRESCIOUS!!!! I love that the guys are in the story more like they were way back when and I LOVED them being all protective cause it's adorable.

Next, Chris and Caleb remind me of the better parts of my father and brother. Well, even my dad and bro's best parts suck but still. What I meant is, my dad and brother are almost identical in personality nowadays but growing up they were too close to see it. They weren't lovingly close, I mean they were always at each other's throats. They were SO alike that they fought night and day. Yeah, my dad even whipped him with a belt but my family is fucked so that's not a good basis of how to handle problems. I guess what I'm trying to say is that... I get it. I see both of them doing right and doing wrong at the same time and it's all because, whether Cally likes it or not, they're pretty damn similar. Can we take a sec and remember Chris refusing to take off his glasses and being a punk in school? Like, come on. He could be a prick. But we all love all of the characters because we can see past it. And no person thinks themself a villian. Even Hitler thought he was doing good to the world, so Chris can't see his own faults in Caleb cause he can't really see them in himself. And Caleb can't see himself acting exactly like the man he dislikes because he can't see how much he dislikes about himself. They'll learn in time. I think in the end they might be closer than Chris and Rain because of it.

But PS Chris/Rain moments are my face. Love love love it.

  • I have to say that I have never been able to stick with a series of stories on here before, but you, my friend, have kept me on my toes with this couple. I love that in this story you have Caleb being a typical teenage boy with his messy room and sassy mouth. I love that he is still a mommy's boy. Rain being a daddy's girl makes me happy because I am a daddy's girl and in this chapter, I can really relate because I was 17 before my dad even let me hang out with my guyfriends. I love this because to me you kinda zero in on the fact that they are trying to be a 'normal' family, even if they are not of this world. The way you portray the children are spot on to how my and my sister were. I love it. I can relate in many ways to this chapter. I just can't express how much I love this and how great of a writer you are. I seriously think you should write a book. But anywhore, I'm rambling on.. The point is I love it. Update when you can love. :D <3

  • I'm about to be mortifyingly honest... I cried while reading this. No idea. Just happened. I think it's cause I've grown so emotionally attached to these characters that I feel overwhelmed to have them living their lives so far forward. But I LOVE IT. I hope someday we'll have flashbacks to see Rain as a tot or kid, but this is fantastic!! I love the realness as well as the entertainment. This is great. Can't wait for more. And I can't WAIT to see how her uncles react to Rain's friend-boy ;)
