Where I go (and in all the schools I've been to) TA's are always high school students. They just grade papers from teachers' keys and like makes coffee or runs errands and shit. Usually they have to be a senior or at least have taken the class they're TAing for, but I've seen exceptions with kids who knew the teachers before. (It's really just a free period for kids who help out a teacher they like tbh.) On the other hand, a student teacher is a college student who usually helps out in class and teaches to get experience if they want to be a teacher. Hope I cleared that up!
