Ah thank so very much! I'm really glad you enjoy my writing. In the past month I've been working on a few things for hopeful publication but they'll be submitted soon and then I'll be back to focusing on the regular (free!) stories like this one!

The whole series is being rewritten book by book and was first posted on fictionpress a few years ago, so what you're seeing on mibba are the new rewrites only. The other books will be rewritten in order, and I'm only putting the rewrites on mibba - everything on fictionpress past this first book is a draft that will be replaced as I write them. So I'd recommend you wait, but many people do jump ahead and read the next books! That's fine to do, but there will be quite a few continuity errors since the rewrites don't match the drafts exactly.

can't wait for your update then! oh and are we supposed to read the other three books on your fictionpress after you finish this story? i'm slightly confused haha. i don't want to end up reading something and then it would spoil the entire thing for me

I update it earlier on my patreon, usually 1 or 2 weeks before I post chapters publicly. There hasn't been an update for a while because I've been doing NaNoWriMo and some other things. Soonish though, I'll start working on it again. Glad you're enjoying it!

I've been writing all my life and more seriously writing since I was about 15, so I've had quite a lot of practice and time to sharpen my writing skills, and I still have a lot of room to improve!

While that last user down there tried to read it all in one night, I actually accomplished that. And I have school tomorrow, meaning that I have to get up at 6:30am. I'll only get around 6-7 hours of sleep right now, and that's if I don't include my insomnia.

Thank you so much! Really glad you're enjoying it so far! I work on a lot of projects at once and have a really staggered update schedule, so there will probably be more of it in October. :)

This story is absolutely amazing. This is definitely one of those stories where I sit up all freaking night trying to read the whole thing until sleep finally forces me to stop. It's just so addicting! I really love the characters and just everything about it. Your writing is absolutely amazing. And I am definitely excited to read more!!

I bulk uploaded the first nine chapters all at once which is probably why not a lot of people have seen it, but it's also been up on fictionpress for many many years and this is a rewrite, so I'm posting it more places. There's actually three more books in the series already written; they'll go up here too eventually.

I'm surprised this story doesn't have a lot of comments because it is AMAZING! The chapter lengths are so hearty and Alan's thought process is funny and something I can relate to. I can also relate to some of the places mentioned like In-N-Out and Stater Brothers because I live in Southern California. So of course when you mention something I'm familiar with I'm like "OMG YEAH I'VE BEEN THERE". I even googled the title and it makes the whole story just click together. I have great respect that you took a word and just built so much to because it goes FANTASTIC as the title. I also enjoy some Science Fiction and tend to read stories on here about characters who are homosexual. But this is just perfect with a whole lot of ALIEN BUTT KICKING, SELF DISCOVERY, FREAKING OUT and that little splash of TWO GUYS LIKING EACHOTHER.

I'm in love with this story, great work.
