This piece is packed with emotion, you definitely achieved the feelings of tragedy and loss and denial. At first I thought this was going to be about abortion, but then as I read on I realized what this was really about and it made me very sad. Your word choice is spot on. I can feel the despair. As I read it, the prose almost had an angry tone to it.
