I really figured he would win her over. To be honest, I am really glad he did not because that made this piece much more interesting, and it made me like it more. It's not that I have anything against the guy getting the girl, it's just that in this instance it wouldn't have been right somehow. It's more realistic this way, and it challenges the idea that just because the girl seems like totally perfect for you and you have a future with her and such, like just because you can picture it all in your head, doesn't mean it's so. David had all these ideas about this girl in his head, and he'd never even met her before! I don't know. I'm rambling a lot, but I thought this piece was pretty good, and made much better by it's ending. Also, I love that song.
