This was a really powerful and poignant one-shot that resonated with me a lot. You conveyed such a dark and painful message within such a short amount of words. I hate feeling human, honestly. I hate being reminded of how temporary I really am in the grand scheme of things. My parents tell me that it’s because I’m young so the idea of death freaks me out, but I’m very aware of my own mortality. So to read this reminded me of that again and definitely packed a punch. It’s so terrifying to think about someone witnessing something as gruesome as Indigo did. I think you captured her nauseous feeling of pain and restlessness really well because I don’t think I’d be able to sleep well after that either.

I also really liked how simplistic your prose was as you tackled a very complex idea. You wrote everything in very short, blunt sentences that almost read like a freestyle poem. It was unique, but also complemented the story on its own because the sentences were sharp and very straightforward. You still managed to express all the emotions Indigo was dealing with in her actions and the fact that she couldn’t sleep. I also really loved how her boyfriend stayed home with her! That was so sweet.

So all in all, this was definitely a very poignant piece that I enjoyed a lot. Great job!

I love the style of writing for this story - it's very unique. The story addressed a lot of complex subjects - and I love how poetic it is. It really shows how talented of a writer you are - amazing job.
