hi I really hope you continue with this, I'm literally out of stories to read and its been a while since last update but I'm gonna hope and pray that you update sometime cause I'm very obsessed with this story and it's real hard to come by a good well written story with a good storyline anymore, I felt like I struck gold with this one. oh my gOOOOOOOOD. Gerard really tends to be patronizing towards Amelia and I feel like part of the reason for that is because his wife controls everything he does and he doesn't have a say in anything and he's not in control of himself so he likes to be in control of Amelia. poor guy lol. It's weird because he acts pretty immaturely sometimes and then to balance it out he randomly decides to become the authority figure, which adds on to the 'are you my teacher or are you my friend' mixed signal. ahhh this fic is so fun and interesting to read! I'm super excited to see what'll happen at the party, because I'm more than sure it's going to go DOWN! However, at the moment I just still want to SMACK Gerard! I mean from both times he got drunk, especially the second time with his friends Gerard has really been giving Mia much more than 'mixed' signals and...I just...UGH! I feel like internally Gerard is jealous that Kyle got to kiss Mia, unlike him and he's just being a baby about it. In my head, had Mr. Way really not wanted Mia to pursue him he wouldn't have gone to all that length of making 'sure' that she wouldn't do so and what was up with that hug in the office? Thinking about it now how could it have not irked some feeling with Mia when Mr. Way claims that 'something' is there? It would have upset anyone! I really do LOVE this story and I'm so happy I came across it! It's all so relate-able and actually realistic, I love it! Keep up the amazing work and I look forward to seeing what happens next! xxoxoo

thanks for such a thoughtful comment! i find student/teachers are always difficult but i definitely wanted to get the right balance between pushing the boundaries but also keeping it relatable. really glad you're enjoying it though! x

Man... I hardly ever start to read stories once I realise they're student/teacher stories. Was studying teaching for a while... know a few male teachers... it's all a bit weird. I can't stop myself thinking 'OMG WTF GERARD!? You don't just talk to a female student alone in a closed off classroom!'

But you've pulled me in. This is so mean girls. It's brilliant. I want Gerard to just quit teaching and leave his wife and be there for Amelia D: I want Amelia to find herself again. I want Alex to spontaneously combust.

But yes. Wonderful story. Will be eagerly awaiting updates. :D
