For such a short piece, this really is a wonderful story. I absolutely love your writing style, one idea flowing to the next with ease. You have the rare talent to use few words, and still deliver perfectly to your reader what you mean to say. My only suggestions would be to reread for missed grammar in some sentences (Ex: The boy’s eyes shot up; blue they were blue.). Besides that small criticism, I really am enjoying reading this, and will definitely be following along. Best wishes.
