why you no update?

Hey! So excited for this update! I don't know how I missed it before. Commenting as I read! One thing I noticed in this though, is that you are using a lot of commas. You don't really need some of them. I'd check back through and see if your sentences are flowing. You're using some really short sentences and then a lot of commas in the others, so I'd read back through that!

ex: She had a few cuts across her cheek, and her lips were painfully dry. She needed water, but Eva was afraid of stopping. Probably could take out the commas in both of these sentences. Might even be able to combine them if you wanted. It's very stop & go rather than flow-y, which is slightly distracting.

After there, it picks up though and I really got drawn into the story. This new character is very confusing and I don't like his men at all. I want her to be rescued by Asmund and the others and go back with them. He's so protective of her that he has to come for her... On the other hand, he is the leader, so he does have to do what's best for his people. It'll be really interesting either way. Who knows, maybe she'll be stuck with them for awhile and come across the other group in the future. I wanna know so badly!

Please update soon! I'm really excited to find out what happens to her. Part of me wants her stuck with these guys for awhile, but on the other hand, I want him to come for her (although I don't think he will. He's too stubborn)!

Love the update honey!

Mmm. There's some kind of rugged appeal to vikings that I never knew that I liked. But I'm totally digging it. I've just finished chapter ten and it looks like things are starting to get stirred up! I liked the way you took your time with things and developed both Eva and Asmund up to this point. Though there is still a bit of mystery to him to look forward to. You're doing a great job with this story so far.

Okay, I'm going to start out by saying that I really like the summary. It's very drawing and plus the mention of Vikings is enough to make me want to read it. As if my username isn't enough to show my love for those people.

I really like how you started out the first chapter. It is a very strong opener which is a really good thing. The description in the story almost makes me feel like I'm there and seeing what's going on.

I'm really starting to like Eva from the way you described her. She seems to be a very interesting character at least that's what I'm getting from the first chapter.

Okay the description of the man in chapter two is very thorough, and I love that. It's amazing when stories have a very good description and detail. It's my favorite.

I like the way you ended chapter two. It was kind of drawing and makes me want to read more. I honestly want to know more.

I like the characters. I have a bit of a hard time believing that they would say lass because that's more of a Scottish term and Scotland has never been a part of Scandinavia. Their names resemble and show the Viking part of it. Of course, I didn't live in that time so maybe they did say lass.

Okay, I'll admit that I only had time to read three chapters at the moment, but I do plan on reading more. This is a really good story, and I like the detail you have in the story. I love the concept and the time you sent Eva back to. It's a very interesting time, and I'm going to keep reading when I have more time.

This story just gets better and better!

They are so frustrating! He's frustrating because he's so brutish sometimes and she's frustrating because she won't just talk to him! He's toying with her. He knows she cares for him and enjoys it when she denies it! One of these days I just want her to say something to painstakingly blunt that he has no idea how to react! She needs the upper hand one of these days! She's from the future, she should know someway to put him in his place!

ugh this chapter gives me feelings. i am so glad asmund kicked that other girl out of the tent. also when he kept asking "did it hurt you?" love him.

Okay, so you were right. I totally love this. I got through chapter eight and sorta of just paused because I couldn't figure out where the rest of it was. I really really like it.

It moves a little fast with time, but their relationship is taking it's time, so it makes up for it. I just want to see her trying to understand their customs! Like the relationship between men and women and how he treats other women! It's really fascinating! I studied Vikings in one of my classes this semester, so it's cool to be able to read about them!

This also reminds me of a novel by Octavia Butler called Kindred. It's about a black, american woman who keeps getting thrown back into the 1800s! It was a really good read!:)

Anyway! Can't wait to see what happens when this progresses. Maybe what was up with that other girl he was and see them talk it over? (why can he be with someone else and she can't??)

Plus, I hope he kicks that other guy's butt. I was thinking he was going to see her bruised or something and go after him. So caught up in this story!
