The foreign names and words were a lot to take in at first, and I was a little confused about the gist of the story. I feel like I need some sort of a guide for this universe (like a map and a bit of background info). These fantasy stories are really becoming a trend. I swear this is like the third one I’ve read on here.
But after getting past that and understanding more, I appreciated your eye for detail. The ominous feel of the clouds, Edith’s eyes, and wow, the setting is gloomy on Edith’s eighteenth birthday. I’m in love with your poetic phrases:
“Arias and his smoldering smile drew deep”
“Edith adorned a regal look—quite authentic to say the least. He on the other hand had tanned skin at a crisp, warm beige that matched his topaz eyes and well maintained black hair.”
The narrative is so unique, and I love how you mold your vocabulary into something so beautiful. You know how to play your sentences to depict the exact scene you want, and it’s effective in painting the whole story. I love this. I’ll be subscribing, and I hope you update soon!

Wow. This story is off to an amazing start. I'm thinking it's a Dragon Age fanfic but I'm not sure. This doesn't stop me from reading and loving this story. I really love how Edith is actually quite nice and caring despite being snarky and sarcastic. I can only imagine her being a total badass in battle. But I absolutely love the simple naivety of Arias, I mean not a childish naivety, just a simple naivety of one who hasn't been raised in the face of the horrors and darkness that Edith was raised. The two cousins have some great chemistry together and I can't wait to see what adventures they'll have. Arms You did a great job with this story, so far, Nikki and it can only get better. Cute
