Hello, I'm here leaving a comment for the Magazine contest (that I should have left a while ago, apologies!) Cute

That first line is so powerful, wow. It's so...I don't even know how to explain it, but it's so true. There's no point in trying to paint someone one colour when in doing so, we make the lives of those we're painting seem so negative and black and white. Lovely piece of imagery.

I like that throughout this, you can feel the pain that the narrator feels. I've had to listen to the same sort of conversation from some of my LGTB+ friends and it's absolutely heartbreaking for me to listen to them, so I can't possibly imagine what it'd be like to be in that situation but I think this story does justice of showing how difficult it can be for someone who is being bullied just because they don't conform to 'social norms'. Like you say towards the end, everyone is human, including the people that are getting the hardships for loving someone. I don't think that should be something that someone should have to hide, or get insulted for.

This was a really heartfelt and wonderful read. Good job!

This is a really touching story. I kept on seeing it on the homepage but never checked it out until tonight and I have to say I am amazed. You did a terrific job.

This was beautiful! Fantastically written, I could really resonate with the pain the author felt. As someone who identifies as bisexual (haven't come out yet, or truly figured out if my identity is really what I am) this terrifies me and moves me. I hope no one you know or yourself has gone through this, as no one should :D
I'm gonna go cry now :)

I found this story through the Mibba Magazine review and decided to check it out. And I'm glad I did because this story is amazing! I love how detailed it is and how readers can truly feel the pain of lesbian just wanting to be able to express love to her significant other without getting harassed and bullied. It really gives insight to people who are heterosexual how hard these people have it sometimes. And it's awful.
This story was written very well and I appulude your writing skills.

Hey, I'm here to judge for the contest. Cute

I think you had done a good job with this piece.

I can't personally say that I understand because I have never been in that situation. But as an outsider, whenever I was with my friends or family and we see gay couples together and people around me start making rude comments about them, I just wanted to tell them to stop.

But I guess I'm a coward for not speaking up because I'm afraid. Reality is harsh, as you'd mentioned throughout the piece. Even though there are a lot of fights for equality, we still can't escape the fact that the society really aren't as accepting as we'd like to think they are.

What I love about this story is how realistic it is and how heartbreaking it is to read. And I think the last line is the perfect finish for this story.

    Good job!

This was beautiful. I liked getting an inside glimpse on how people in the LGBT community feel when they are bullied or targeted. I will never know this pain. It is so sad, and I too wish for the day to come for all this to end.
    Wonderful job!
