I relate deeply with nosebleed. I feel that if I were ever a character in a pirate novel, as much as I'd like to be the beautiful heroine, I'd be nosebleed lol
Just read this from start to finish in one sitting and I love it! I couldn't have been pried from my computer screen if there was a gun to my head. I was entirely lost in the world you created and when I caught up to where you are now I was sad to be dropped back into reality. Amazingly written do far, can't wait to read more!
I am LOVING this. I'm on chapter 9 atm and I have to say that I wouldn't mind jumping Ben's bones. And I love the concept of a female pirate. Yas for females in positions of powerrrrrrr
Holy moly. That was such a great first chapter. I love how it starts, just barely out of the thick of it. The imagery is so good, your descriptions really do put me at sea. Not to mention the flow, it's so effortless. I'm definitely going to subscribe and recommend.
A few things I took note on:
"He winced as he was rolled onto his back by a boot, now facing the man." - Nothing wrong, just absolutely love the imagery of it.
I love how he was then forcibly made to sit up. It speaks to Percy's character. (Speaking of Percy, after reading the entire chapter, he's in the running for my favorite. I can't wait to see where you go with him.)
"Clemens squirmed where he was pinned to the mast" I feel like there wasn't any pretense to this, he was just all of a sudden pinned.
