I felt such a strong connection to this, because I know plenty of people who are exactly like this. And to a point, most of us are. I liked how you didn't divulge whether or not she knew she was ready to crumble on the inside, only that she liked the outside which heftily contributes to your overall theme. The emphasis that you created on the falsity of her actions was really powerful.
