i thought that coffee meet up was great. even if Adelaide didn't quite agree to blake's words, i thought it was great. it showed us who blake really is and i quite liked it.

THE FAMILIAL BOND IS FANTASTIC. the last scenes with his mom and dad were so heartwarming. Love that we get a little bit of everything in this story (friendship, family and love ahhhhhhhhh so good )

Blake is just so sweet. Loving that he is still helping these girls after they treat him like crap. Can't wait for more.

Can we take a moment to love Blake even more?!?!????? I love his thought process, the way it's written and the fact that he's trying to see the real deal of Adelaide. I bet he's gonna go back and see her in the future. For some reason (maybe it's the romance in me) I feel like even though she said she doesn't wanna see another Davis, she deeply wants to see Blake. IDK MAYBE IM CRAZY IDK BUT SHE ILL LOVE BLAKE

I love every single character in this story (especially since Jones is kind of in it, but not really...yet). I mean Tate and Fitz are #RelationshipGoalz, Blake is adorably charming, and I'm in love with Elodie. Feminst, loyal, and speaks her mind? Uhhh yes, please.

Finally getting around to reading this. (Have been eyeing this for months) So my review/comment may be all over the place since this will basically be a reaction position.

First off, BITCH YAS. I'm on like the first paragraphs and to have this description of what it's like to be a (black) adopted child in an all-white family is ON POINT. A lot of writers (especially if they aren't black themselves) tend to dance around this, but for you to just come AT THE DOOR (head goes to the side) is great. Kudos.

Description and world building is on point, too. Already see that he has his own voice and it's very strong.

Is it weird I envision the mom as Mellie from Scandal? (random thought)

I really whined out "He's so younggg" when I read the line
"I don't think I would've made it out alive this year without Tate's organic chemistry notes," I said. "But it's going. I'm definitely not ready for junior year."

idk what I was thinking lol. I guess I mentally thought he was the oldest of the group. Now certain aspects make more sense to me. lol

The perspective paragraph of 2013 vs 2015 is very grounding and realistic. You can really get behind Blake and see his mindset in it. I like that. Makes me connect (aka want to protect him) more. You can see how the fuck-ups of Jones haunts him and that's very amazing.

And Blake missing his brother is acceptable. He did say Jones was the one who helped him when they were younger so he did have the choice to miss him. God, I have a feeling Blake is going to secretly visit Jones

This is a strong start for a sequel, the detail you put in and the way you leave the reader wanting more is awesome. Nice job!
