I love seeing some of the romance between them!

I've been silently reading for a bit now but I love this story so much.

God, I hope Steve wont find out what happened in that room, poor thing wouldn't be able to be in there again and wouldn't look at the map the same

I'm glad to see their rivalry is being addressed, and that it's causing tension and problems for everyone, which something like that understandably would. In honesty though, I feel like Bucky got the brunt of the lashing and she got off mildly. While they were in the area, they didn't broach the competition, it was her unwillingness to listen that foiled the plan, not the competition they have. I feel like Cap went easy on her, which is probably his style, but twice now her distraction has nearly cost the team a life.

As to Bucky throwing her under the bus, I don't think he did. Maybe worded it wrong, which put everyone off, but she screwed up by not listening, her ego got in the way. Her being upset with him is fair enough, I guess, but still a low blow. It'll be interesting to see how it goes from here, if Cap has words with her in private or if he lets it go, and then how the next mission goes with her not there.

You write really interesting characters, they all have such substance to them that even the ones that rub the reader the wrong way are still intriguing. I'm looking forward to seeing the growth, and seeing how they react to the new situations - especially Bucky's fall. If he falls. Interesting. More soon please and thank you! :D

uhm damn I was right about Steve being angry, didn't see the others being ticked off as well, but ain't surprised.. think that her being left out of the next mission is right, she didn't listen to Bucky, which she should've BUT still, Bucky kind of needs to get told off a little more as well.. he is just as guilty as Cat when it comes to the competition, just this time it happened to be her mistake, not his

oh gosh, please tell me that you're going to have that part in the story, when they question her about how she could've seen the Hydra soldier behind Bucky
it's cute how she started to question things in her mind about him, like the fact that he could make women swoon so easily but she's just annoyed by him

I just read through everything you have here and I'm enjoying the premise of the story. The setting is intriguing and draws you in, and it's great to see a story about Bucky that's not based on Winter Soldier.

I like that you've set it around him trying to adjust to a female in the group, and her trying to prove herself - but that's where the praise for her ends on my part, I'm afraid. As someone who grew up in a Military family, a female like that would have been discharged after the first display of misconduct - and she displays a lot of misconduct. She's constantly insubordinate and mouths off to superior officers. I get that she's trying to prove herself and that's admirable, but the way she's going about doing it is, if I'm honest, distressing and irritating.

I feel like maybe she'd benefit from a dressing-down by Carter, a simple "Pick your battles, before you find yourself out on your ass." She's strong willed, but she's too obnoxious to be a soldier. And it bothers me that Cap hasn't taken her aside and told her to tone it down. They're meant to be a team unit - which means everyone helps everyone. Her fobbing the others off because "I am woman - I don't need man help. Sexist." shows disunity. If she wants to be a part of the unit, she needs to stop creating problems. And she needs to stop acting like everyone is out to get her because she's a woman and that she's never doing anything wrong.

This probably all seems super bitch I'm sorry! I am enjoying the story, don't get me wrong, I just feel like she tries too hard to prove herself when her attitude just gives them reason to doubt her. Actions speak louder than words. If she wants respect, she needs to stop demanding it and earn it. Having a go at someone who just saved your life will only get you one thing - an empty spot at your back. She'd be dead if Bucky hadn't stepped in, being too prideful to see that is just foolish.

I am ranting again Sorry! The writing is great, the way you switch between them and show the story progressing through their eyes instead of replaying everything that happens from different points of view - so great job there. The way you set the team dynamic is good, though maybe try to have the snipers moving around less - snipers aren't supposed to shift so erratically, it gives their position away and makes for bad concentration, which is key. Also, just a pointer, not sure if you know or not, but snipers fire on the exhale(like just after they've exhaled), they don't hold their breath because it obscures their aim and the shot. Wasn't sure if you wrote her holding her breath because of nerves and it was on purpose or not? Sorry, just a little clarification on that one haha.

Cap is Cap, great job there, he's such a stellar character to write, such a champ. And I really liked how Bucky recognized why Steve was so willing to let her on the team - she would have to prove herself to be known as a good soldier, it's not something that's just taken on faith haha so a good blending of their characters, showing how they know each other so well and have bonded, I really liked that.

I'm not exactly sure why this hasn't garnered more interest, it's a great read, despite my bitch fit above haha that's personal preference by the way, a pet peeve. Female characters often bother me haha I get what she's trying to prove, it just bothers me how she's going about proving it, you know? I'm rambling, I'm so sorry!

I really do enjoy this and I hope you finish it, despite whether or not it gets more interest. It's a great piece and a great character study if nothing else.
