honestly, after the restaurant debacle (inhale my dong enragement oscar), mark had me terrified. i was legit ready to pop into the story and smack him around the head if he drank. he could've ended up killing himself and that would've been 100% not okay by me and my soul. AND BLESS JACK'S ITALIAN SPEAKING POWERS. i hope oscar and his lil crew got tossed out. I can't believe he was truly thirsty enough to come in and ruin the septiplier date, like damn, son, do you not see the magic happening between the two weirdos with the dyed middle of the head? go find another foreign man and be disgusting in that direction, my friend.

but now there are happy times and kisses and there's so much fluff and adorableness i'm so happy for them because dear lord do they deserve it. they've been through quite a bit of shit (sad jack already had my heart in a vice but then you threw in crying mark like nOOope my entire being was crushed). and they're so so so cute together, so loving and sweet and precious and they still have that childish air of best friend to them, as well. mark and jack play so well off of each other that their lighter interactions are just so pleasant to read.

honestly, the way jack feels — every time something good happens, something bad follows it up — is how i'm feeling, because i know that no matter how sugary sweet they are, it ain't always gonna be like that. and now i'm scared for whatever they may have to jump over and struggle through because babies. and y'know, i have the strangest feeling that we haven't seen the last of oscar..........he's like a weed, never truly dead.

i love mark's wishy-washy thought process as he's looking for jack. it jumps back and forth between panicked and forced positivity and it's quite amusing to read. but then we enter ol' boy oscar and i wanna punch him dead in his face. BACK ON OFF THERE BUDDY BOY.

jack's coverups are so terrible, oh my god, he literally just shouts out excuses. that's so very real. seems like loud guys tell loud lies.

PANCAKE MAKING AND SLEPY MARK. WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME?? BECAUSE YOU HAVE. VERY MUCH SO. the fluffy moments they experience are so so so precious because it's just so cute and a nice release from some of the sadder moments like anxious thoughts or man-stealing australians ().

you're doing such a wonderful job still, and of course i'm really excited to see more, because this is amazing! (and sorry to hear about the severe weather; i hope everything is okay where you are! )

Oh my goodness, you have just made my day with that comment :) I have this story on two other sites and no one has commented anything like that. Thank you so much! I've actually been doubting whether or not the story has been moving along OK or if I should continue with it, but you basically just kicked me into finishing it; you inspired me to continue. Thank you so much and I promise, I won't disappoint you! :)

one if ny favorite things about this adorable fic is definitely the inclusion of the car rides. imagining mark and jack singing along to all of this music and being silly is truly a highlight. (and, while i haven't heard jack sing, i heard mark sing six seconds of story of my life and it was almost the end of my life soooooo)

i also really like how you handled mark deciding maybe he wasn't straight. he didn't go overboard and shut jack out and treat it like some kind of travesty, like i've seen in so many fics across a variety of fandoms. he handled it well, like an adult would, and i really appreciate that.

AND JACK BABY LET ME HUG YOU. he's just been slogging through shit since the first chapter and i feel so so so bad for him. thank god he's got mark there to make things a little better, but, geez, he can't catch a break, can he? but hey maybe things'll look up once he and mark become a unit of adorable.

B U T i have the worst feeling that if mark doesn't hurry up and tell Jack now, he might have to suffer through oscar playing all these games. gtfoutta here, oscar, we ain't friends. this is amazing so far, and i'm really excited to see what else you have in store!!
