I'm here judging the entries for my A Penny for a Song contest!
Layout / Summary
The layout for this is wicked. It's got this really delightfully bitchy air to it, and everything just goes together so well. The layout works in perfectly with the summary and already I'm 100% ready for anything this has to give me.
Content
I love the first chapter, straight off. You get this instant feel for all of the characters right off of the bat, and they all have their own little defining characteristics that're woven into the dialogue. It really works well, because as a reader, you get this starting image of these people. I think everybody can relate them to a group of people from school as well -- I have my own people that I can link them to so I definitely feel really engrossed in this from the start.
Having the chapters following the introduction being from the point-of-view of the character gives us more of an insight into each character as an individual as well, which I think will definitely be interesting because a lot of time time, the 'popular' crowd are shown in stories as just being the same, so I'm really excited to see how that goes! Meredith is so delightfully bitchy -- I love the little interaction at the end when she's talking about the party. It's so snide and underhand, the way she makes Kiana feel like she's... well, like she's a piece of shit, for lack of a better phrase. It just shows that Meredith has this wonderfully evil side that I feel I'm really going to enjoy reading.

This is a great start. I love how it links to the title so well, and the way that your characters are fleshing out so far. I'm excited to see this go further too. Awesome job!
