I LOVE ROYALTY AUS!so far, mark doesn't seem like a bad kid. he just knows what he's been taught, which he can't be faulted for. i can only wonder why peasants are so hated by the king, though? did he have a bad experience with peasants before? or does he just feel wrongfully above them?
and jack, ooh, i wonder about him, too. his unadulterated hate for the prince is understandable, since he does have to be forced to look up to this guy that really doesn't seem very special, but i'm thinking, is it jealousy? or does he just hate the royal family?
AND THEY'RE BOTH BLUSHING BYE. mark is just nervous, sure, but jack has no need to be....mm-hmm.
i'm really mulling over that "face as red as blood" line, because oh lord, it doesn't sound very good. it sounds really scary, actually, considering mark will inevitably grow closer with Jack down the line.

Jack just hates the Royal Family because of how the king acts towards people like him.
