like swell, i can't believe you've never written a drabble. holy crap bc i had to re-read that a few times given that it was by far the most beautiful thing i've come across here on mibba. the first time i read it, i considered the image of a young girl glorious in nature & free in spirit, but the second time i figured it was a woman who was reliving the more innocent & carefree moments of her life, reminiscing on the sweeter things. & of course when realizing that those days have passed & life in itself is here screwing everything up; feelings, people, & the such - that results in her falling

i feel like so many ppl can relate to this & perceive it in their own way. that, as a writer i feel, is a mandated goal, so kudos to you for stealing my breath away & also making me feel

Hello, I am here to judge for my drabble contest!

I have to say I find it hard to believe you've never written a drabble before, because you've really written a wonderful piece here. There's a sort of melancholy, bittersweet tone to this piece which I find really fits in with the image. I love the contrast between the first paragraph being so happy and light, but with a slight inkling of knowing that the mood is going to drop. The description of the girl's pain was so beautiful(ly sad) to read but also relatable, in the sense of the needles in the chest.

This was amazing to read and I hope you write more drabbles in the future! Thank you for entering my contest Cute
