That was something specifically we wanted to focus on. We did had a lot of the touring life and stuff in the original version of I Wanna Be Somebody, but in the new version, there's gonna be a lot more of the small details, which will make it more natural. The details of touring, and festivals, and all of that extra stuff, is stuff that, like you said, a lot of writers don't pay much attention to, we love to write. This thing is about a touring metal band; it's not just a cliche story element used like in a majority of fanfics where there's these kids in a band. This has a specific focus on the music and the lives of these musicians, and we write it as such. It's not enough to be like 'oh, hey, here are these guys in this band, they're touring with these other bands. There's drama.' No, you have to build the world around them, and we take a lot of time to do that. I think that makes it infinitely more authentic, and fun.

I'm glad you enjoyed this! I love writing interviews, they flow so well and are just fun. Thanks for the comment!

Yay, more musical darkness! Not that I would expect any less from you. I really like the upscale focus on a music scene. I'm a junkie for drama as much as the next guy (and I can already tell there will be lots of it as the story unfolds, especially with Jess's past with Mark) but it's nice to see the interviews, the festivals, and the overall imagery of it all (in which you always SLAY to say the least) in a band-revolving situation. Not many writers pay attention to the detail as much as you do, which is impressive.
