yaaaaaas I'm jazzed about you being jazzed. Now that they're in fifth year, it's gonna stay in present time, but that means it's gonna get exciting, so. Thank you!

So like I said before, I think it's really cool that this is set at Ilvermorny, because most Harry Potter fanfiction is of course set at Hogwarts. I haven't done too much research on the school yet, but I feel like your story does a good job of explaining things about Ilvermorny and I really like that.

I love Henry and Melody Kostas. They're such a cute couple and I feel like you do a good job bringing them to life and showing their love for each other. The first chapter was really heartbreaking but the second was so sweet. I actually am considering becoming a family lawyer specializing in adoptions, and I'm adopted myself so it's really cool to see adoption in a story.

I also like how you have the chapters kind of spanning across their lives; it gives a nice background to the characters. All around I'm pretty jazzed about this.

Thanks! I got the idea of the adoption from that show Yhis Is Us. Never even really watched it, but I know the premise of the parents banking in triplets and then she loses one, so they adopt one hat was just left at a fire station, yada yada yada.

Honestly I don't even know why I didn't mention magical sweets... like I look up everything else, I don't know why I didn't get a list of the candies in Honeydukes. Was mostly focused on chocolates because of WolfStar fics.

The family background is being avoided for a reason, though. I'll get to it.

I've never read a story where it's set in Ilvermorny, but I'm excited.

ORIGINS
The start of this was very sad, and I find it kind of weird that they've gone and adopted a baby to replace the one they lost, but that's just my personal opinion. I think this is a good start to a story, offering a good background for a starting point. We don't really know the character's yet, so it'll be interesting to see what you do with this.

INTRODUCTION TO DIAGON ALLEY
I kind of wish that you gave a bit more information on the family, like we're they're from. A bit more constructive criticism: I find it kind of off putting that all the sweets you listed weren't of the magical variety, seeing as it's a magic culture. I could maybe see that if they weren't in wizard Britain, but as they are...

Overall I find it this to have an interesting premise.

I will get around to reading this bc I think it's cool you set it at Ilvermorny.
