Hi! I'm Eve from alltimefanfiction, I'm judging the entries for our writing contest. I'm sorry it took me so long to get through this! I'm a slow reader with a small attention span, haha.

So first off, I'd like to praise you on the effort you put in in general -- I wasn't expecting a completed chaptered fic as an entry so the length of this alone is impressive. Secondly, I wanna say how much I enjoyed it because that did surprise me. I was never a fan of My Chemical Romance bar one or two songs so I know next to nothing about them, apart from titbits I've seen online and from a friend who was a really big fan. I was aware the whole Killjoys thing was a concept but I never knew exactly what it was, so I did worry I wouldn't have any interest in the subject matter and that might affect my judging. HOWEVER, the story was very easy to understand, it didn't appear that I needed much prior knowledge to understand what was going on, and the terminology became clearer the more I read. I enjoyed it very much.

I did get tearful when the boys started dying off, and I was genuinely shocked when Rian/Smiley did. I think the way you used the song as Alex's name change was incredibly clever. I'm also really glad that he left a message at the end for Cass/Bee, because I did wonder what she'd think if she went back to the house to find them all gone.

My only criticisms are you had some minor spelling/grammar mistakes so you might have benefit from having a beta, and the flashbacks (at first) were hard to understand because they weren't 'separated' from the rest of the text by italics or something -- during the first couple I was confused as to why the setting suddenly changed and they were using their regular names.

But overall, those things didn't really phase me or make me want to stop reading. The story was just really clever and well-planned. It's a really strong entry, and it's something very fresh for the fandom. Thank-you for entering it!

IM ONLY ON CHAPTER THREE BUT THIS IS REALLY GOOD SO FAR I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT KILLJOYS BUT I UNDERSTAND THIS
