Oh, we've all had that moment after a break up where we feel the need to change our appearance in some way to refresh ourselves. Of course in this case, it's more about her getting herself back and not being the image that douche wanted her to be. So I'm glad she's doing it... but damn! Go to a hairdresser! Don't just hack it off! Hahaha

Well... Okay, I get her point of view. She doesn't want Trey to drive her out of her home, her business and all that stuff. I get it. She has obviously given up a lot for such a toxic relationship and I understand why she wouldn't want to give up anything else. But honestly, I feel like she needs to try and look at it another way and really consider her options, because Zacky is right. She isn't safe there, at least not right now. Yes, Zacky can't protect her forever, but damn... she has only just gotten away from him. Maybe she needs to take some more time to let things settle. I dunno. It's a shitty situation to be in, coz I guess there's no right answer that doesn't have risks and sacrifices.

I can see both sides of the argument. She wants to be strong and heal, both physically and emotionally, and part of that is standing up to her abuser. Running and hiding won't help her show Trey that he can't control her. But Zack has every right to fear for her safety. He can't be with her all the time, though. At some point, whether he likes it or not, she has to stand on her own. I just hope it doesn't end badly.

Love her new hair do. Loved this update. I am glad Zacky is so protective of her. But I agree, if she goes he could be waiting and it might not end well. I can't wait for another update.

I can't fault the guys for wanting to get revenge on Trey for hurting her. But I also completely understand why Lexi doesn't want them to do anything, for fear of them getting hurt or in trouble. I hope they will respect her wishes, but I really feel they will struggle hard to do that. They can't handle that one of their own has been hurt and nothing has seemingly done about it.

I'm glad she has their support and comfort. I hope she stays strong and really breaks away from Trey for good.

Lexi is right.... There are multiple reasons for them not to go after Trey, and jail time may be the least of their worries. I know they won't keep their promise, but it won't be their fault. They'll have to be pushed into acting -- for instance, if Trey does something else to Lexi, then there will be no stopping them, especially Zacky.

Loved the update. I hope they keep their promise to Lexi and don't do anything stupid. I kind of have a feeling they may though. Loved it!

Randomly stumbled here. I forget how... y'know how it is, someone recommends a story or a blog and you take a look, then end up falling down a rabbit hole of clicking on things and find yourself at a story.

I comment as I read, so this may be a little disjointed. Forgive me.

From the first paragraph of the first chapter, my heart aches for Lexi. I can't imagine trying to hide bruises and injuries from people who care about you. It's such a heavy burden, but I understand why she's doing it. It's not easy to admit you're a victim for many reasons, but I hope she does soon. Before she actually does end up in hospital.

Argh, well Trey is seriously an asshole. An insecure, pencil dick turd bag of an asshole. He's got balls threatening her in public, in her very own bar. It's sad that even a bar regular can see that he's a worthless piece of shit and yet she's still with him.

Oh shit! He hit her in the bar? Jesus. He is a psycho. And I hate to say it, but maybe it's a good thing she lost the baby if he was the father. What a fucking asshole. I hope he finds his way to prison at some point and gets butt raped before bed every single night. Douche.

His comments about Zacky are clearly born from jealousy and insecurity. He knows that Zacky would actually treat her right and so clearly he's desperately trying to break her down and make her think otherwise. Pathetic excuse for a man.

Naww, Zacky the Knight in shining armor! He'd make a hot Knight, just sayin'...

I'm glad she's left and finally told Zacky the truth. I'm sure he'll do whatever he can to protect her and help her get her life back together.

I'm so glad she left and that Zee took her in. It's good that she has a friend like him. But I worry about her going back... She has to go home and to work eventually.
