I can understand her parents wanting what's best for her but they handled it horribly. There going at it the wrong way. Jade is only going to resent them if they continue down this path. Her parents were probably together when they were in high school.

Her parents were a little harsh telling her that she didn't know what love was or that Brian is going to stop her from getting in the Yale like they want her to.
