The Second of May - Comments

  • I love how you opened this up! Giving a little insight into Snape's life and creating curiosity as to why he visits the top of a hill. I have a feeling there's going to be a lot of heartbreak in this.

I love how seamlessly you took us back in time throughout their years at Hogwarts, and I could feel the regret Snape felt in terms of meeting her and wishing things could've turned out differently.

I love the fact that you had Snape not wish death on James, that he even wished for him back. I thought that was such a nice touch- that he realized they truly did love one another.

And that ending, oh my god. So good, so heartbreaking, so beautiful. I really, really enjoyed this! You humanized Severus and I loved that about this piece. Awesome job!

  • Just clicked on your profile and seen that you write California Dreaming, which I recently discovered in the comment swap and really loved. You're a fantastic writer and I really enjoy the stuff you create!

  • This is so well written and elegant, I absolutely love it. You gave so much more depth to the story of Snape and Lily, and made me more emotionally invested in him as a character. I never really liked Snape in the books, regardless of his love for Lily and the sacrifice he made, and I guess it's just because he was never given this depth of character exploration.

Fantastic work and I'm definitely going to check out your other work now :)
