eight the opening is so interesting and yet so incredibly ominous. it jumps from hopeful to haunting to just a full stop of ??? and now i'm wondering what i'm getting into and how much i'm gonna cry hello.
span definitely a shift from the first chapter / prologue, this is actually pretty relaxing (save for the unnerving first few lines oml). it's really warm and pleasant and i like that feeling a lot. it's really pretty.
UH OH NEVER MIND WE'VE ENTERED SUFFERING TERRITORY.
i was in the midst of asking if it was a dream because it held some unnatural, dream-like quality, but the further i read the more i realized nope, our protagonist is in some deep garbage and i really hope nothing comes to kill him because I JUST MET YOU I DIDN'T EVEN GET TO LOVE YOU.
"Thunder boomed through the air, startling him from his sleep, blind panic setting in as he attempted to take in his surroundings." I WAS TRICKED.
oof, gone is that sweet summer feeling. no warmth here, fellas. it's storm country now and I AM NOT HAPPY because storms mean suffering and suffering means i'm back at square one in tears.
EH NANI why am i getting very, very unpleasant vibes from this red ribbon-adorned hat. abe isn't anywhere in sight, we've got eamon walking around a horrible storm in search for him, and now it seems like he's reliving the dream he just had moments ago that tricked me earlier rduihgurdhg AAAAAH.
crow OH GOD HE'S OKAY.
BOTH OF THEM ARE OKAY RDJGUIORHD AAAHHHAH.
honestly, i didn't think abe was gonna make an appearance, but i'm just ecstatic that he did and he's alive and i don't have to suffer just yet because they're safe together thank you.
OKAY I BARELY GOT THE CHANCE TO BREATHE WE'VE KICKED UP FROM LIKE 10 TO 100. the punishment for leaving the property??? nani kore what the hell. i don't like where this is going i don't like where this is going i don't like where this is going.
i'm also getting the idea that eamon is younger than i thought he was. there are short hints like small hands and such that have me rethinking things and now i'm even more afraid because not only is he seemingly the only legitimate person responsible for abe, but he's much younger than i assumed and now he's about to be punished somehow (horribly, i believe) and i am not here for that!!!! no!!!!
"So with his last remnants of purity, he would save Abe." i'm soft this is so sad oh my goodness.
I FEEL SO BAD FOR EAMON (AND ABE CAN’T FORGET HIM) OH MY GOD PLEASE. i'm also loving this a lot, i can't wait to see where this goes!! hopefully in the direction of eamon and abe safe and happy and whoever is choosing to punish eamon dead and 254758 feet under ground!! :)))
THIS IS SHORT BUT INTERESTING AND I WANT MORE! When you can of course. <3 And at first I thought eight meant chapter eight but you know, that's just my mind being silly. You did a great job so far! Don't rush to beat the big bad word count. Just take, er do things at your own pace, Gats.
