I like your premise a lot! I'm also definitely getting Maze Runner vibes, along with Hunger Games and City of Ember, for sure - which is not a bad thing! Obviously, your story is going to be compared to those in the same genre, especially one as distinct as teen dystopian sci-fi. As you keep writing your story, try to lean into the things that make your world/plot/characters unique. My biggest piece of advice would be maybe try to weave in this exposition about the world (and the characters' lives) a little more subtly. But overall, I'm interested to read more!

I like this. While the concept has been used before, you make this one your own, which is admirable. I am also getting a sort of Maze Runner sort of feel in anticipating for the next chapter. I mean, six months! Why would you want to send fifty kids up to the surface for six months, Guard/Government people?

You're a good writer, with practice, you'll be even greater. I'm subscribing and look forward to your next update.
