My dislike for her goes back a long time and is more due to some insensitive things she's said from way back up until much more recently, it's nothing to do with their relationship; in regards to that, I'm glad they're happy. Particularly Alex because he seemed to struggle with that for a long time.

I feel like some people also don't realise you can make someone a 'villain' while also making them well-rounded.

I think as far as fics go, it's all fantasy anyway. If you were secretly hoping Rilex were real, nobody would judge you, lol. The fic's well-written and it's not like Lisa's ever gonna see it anyway. In some alternate universe, Alex and Rian are probably the married ones! Ya never know.

Thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it!! :) I don't understand why people wouldn't be fans of Lisa bc she makes Alex extremely happy and that's all I could ever ask for. She is a really lovely person as well and she clearly loves Alex so much!! I'm so happy for them and I support the guys in all of their relationships anyway. I only want them to be happy. I'm glad you don't hate on her though. Just think about Alex and how he feels about her. Like I feel like even if I didn't like her, that would override everything for me bc I love Alex sm and I just want him to be happy. You can tell he really loves her and yes, they've had their problems in the past but imo, it's none of our business what went on and we should just be happy for Alex. I don't like when writers write their hatred of Lisa into their fics either. I didn't want this fic to come across like I didn't like her or was prioritising my imaginary ship over their real marriage, y'know?? Coming across like that is my worst nightmare bc ik it's hurtful to the guys (obvs they're never gonna see it but y'know, it would hurt them if they did) so I'm glad I didn't come across like that.

This was really good! But so sad the whole way through because I had a feeling it wouldn't have a happy ending. It was weird seeing you write about specific, real tours that happened though because I went to them and I was actually onstage with them on the 12th February that year! I had a birthday banner and purple hair and Alex picked me from the crowd (my birthday's Valentine's Day). I appreciate the realism (and I presume research?) timeline-wise for the tours!

Also I just wanna say that I am definitely no fan of Lisa for multiple reasons but I hate when people use fics as a thinly-veiled way to make her out to be a crazy abusive lunatic so I also appreciated the lack of Lisa bashing, lol. Honestly I don't think it comes off disrespectful at all, plus she rarely featured, so I think you're good on that front! Poor Cassadee though omg.

I liked that the ending was left hanging on that single question. I don't know what you imagined but to me, I felt like it meant that either Rian could be relieved and delighted that Alex is still treating him the same and wants to be his best friend, or that Rian feels totally crushed and will go into a cycle of heartbreak all over again at the idea of having to be such a huge important part of the wedding.

I'll stop rambling. Basically, I think this was a really cool idea, well done.
