It's funny, I was thinking the same thing as I read -- that Gabe has become what he fought so hard against. There was no way for him to avoid it, living between his dad and Lucas.

They definitely should have postponed/cancelled the wedding. I understand why they didn't, but... Gabriel's mom is a bitch, no doubt. On the other hand, she's blinded by her love for Gabriel's dad. There's not much anyone can do about that.

Lucas had to save Gabe's family. Not only to have them in his debt, but because, despite how he feels about them, Gabe would have a hard time forgiving Lucas if he allowed something to happen to them. Familial obligation is a strange thing, and a strong thing. I imagine even more so in a gang setting.

No! Lucas! I know he's tired, but he needs to survive for Gabe, if nothing else!!!!

Wow. That's a selfless move on Lucas's part. It really shows that he cares for Gabriel more then he cares for himself. And he has every right to be concerned. This isn't the same Gabriel he left last time. But... Gabe has a say in this, too, and I know he won't walk away without a fight.

At least Lucas was prepared. He knew Gabe's dad would fight dirty...and he still did, taking advantage of Lucas stepping in and wounding him. But he apparently got what he deserved after being exposed.

Poor Gabe. He's becoming something he didn't want to be. This life is stripping him of his light and sweetness. It was probably inevitable, but it's happening so fast now. I wonder what he'll do in regard to his dad, and if Lucas is gonna step in at all once he realizes how much (and how fast) Gabe is changing.

Betrayed by his own brother?! Jeez. I guess Drake missed a few vital lessons on loyalty.

I'm not surprised Gabriel could kill for Lucas, but I do think it shows that he is changing under the influence of his old friend/love. Maybe it's time for that change.

Lynx has a valid point. Still, getting it past the dads is gonna be hard. It seems that every move they make is (in theory) what is best for their gangs, so perhaps they can be convinced that a marriage IS what's best, despite ongoing hostilities. Even then, there will still be a lot to talk about. I'm just not sure Like will go for it, in the interest of trying to keep Gabe safe.

I'm not surprised Lynx came to Gabe for info. It just makes sense, doesn't it? I still think Gabe should have taken this lead to Lynx, though...

Hell yes! Gabe is holding his on! But that's with only one member of The Triad there. What happens when others rush in? Lucas won't be much help with all the damage he's been taking lately. My fingers are crossed that Gabe and Lucas get out of there without many more injuries!

Okay, I missed a lot being phone-less!!!

Gabriel is smart to play defense when he knows he's the weaker fighter, but he did get lucky that Lucas was already injured. I'm kind of surprised Lynx didn't do more for Lucas -- he had to know he was seriously injured -- but I guess that's just not the way his family works.

Awe, of course Gabe is gonna take care of him! They might be enemies now, but clearly neither of them has forgotten what they once were. Even with Lucas trying to be a heartless badass, he still has some tenderness when it comes to Gabe.

Oh man! I knew he shouldn't have left the apartment! I felt like something was going to go wrong! Given the gang presence in their town, it's never safe to go anywhere while weakened in any way!

I understand why Gabriel is hesitant to approach Lucas' family, but he really should have. Maybe he could have bargained some favor with them by helping them save Lucas. Instead, now Gabriel is heading into a dangerous situation... I hope he has a plan. Not only is he gonna have to keep himself safe, he's gonna have to help Lucas, because after yet another serious wound, he won't be able to do anything himself.

Can't wait for more!
