oh no you don't suck, it just makes the dialogue less believable when certain expressions are different than what one is used to. and i understand completely. i speak two languages and when i write in my second language or even just speak it i'm always really nervous that i will get something wrong. it has taken me forever to just be good enough to pass, so i wouldnt pass judgment on anyone.
