Came across this after typing 'Silverchair' into the story search, wondering how many people used Silverchair lyrics - aside from Ana's Song. And I really liked what you wrote. :) I think the narration was good, the emotions were just there and made sense and captured the feel of the story. I liked how the lyrics matched each paragraph perfectly, and that there wasn't a happy ending. I like that all those promises they had made didn't matter after they had broken up - I think that made it all the more real, like one giving up on the other meant that the other could give up on himself. I liked that hopelessness within it. :)
And even though this comment is three years after the story was posted, the only thing I think didn't really work well was how the lyrics were posted in the story. I think that it broke up the narration - I just skipped the lyrics after a certain point. I mean, the paragraphs related so well to the lyrics, but maybe they could have been incorporated into the paragraph somehow instead of feeling like headers or something? I don't know. But regardless of the lyrics placements, it was a lovely story to read. :)
