I have to say that your story has started out rather great!
The first bit was so sad, with Jeremy and what not, but still good!
Might I suggest that for your future conversation parts, you put spaces between the lines? It makes it easier on the eyes.
Ex:
''Hi there'' she said

''Hi there'' he said
