Yeah, that park is just down the street from my house, actually. So is the white house, but it's not actually abandoned. But yeah, I didn't plan it, but I actually based those things from my neighborhood :)

this is good! you're a really good raconteur (not just a storyteller...but a raconteur :]) and i can really see the emotions coming through in your writing.
i love your description of the park - i have to ask - is it a real park? and i love love love the old white house you described and the effect it has on her writing. i don't know why - i just adore literary elements like that.
