“What are your guys’ plans for today?” Chelsea asked as we were all chilling in the living room of Nick and Joe’s hotel room.

“We’ve got an interview at one,” Kevin informed us. “We’re free until then.”

It was only nine in the morning so it gave us a while to hang out until the boys had to begin their duties.

“Well, Joe,” she began with a smile, causing me to roll my eyes. “I was snooping on your computer and I saw that you found a Putt Putt course near here…”

He raised his eyebrows at her. “And?”

“We should go play Putt Putt!” She grinned, her eyes directly on Joe, in an admiring fashion.

I smiled and suppressed a laugh; I was pretty sure that we all knew whom she meant by “we”.

“Sure,” Joe told her with a sly smile.

“Great,” she beamed. “Let’s get going then.”

“One second,” he told her. “Katy,” he focused on me. “Would you like to come play Putt Putt with us?”

I let an amused smile spread across my face. “I don’t know; I wouldn’t want to impose.”

Joe’s face mirrored mine as Chelsea spoke. “Yeah, she probably has a lot to do, I’d hate to interrupt.”

I looked knowingly at Joe. “Actually, I really don’t have anything to do. I would love to come.”

We watched Chelsea’s smile falter ever so slightly.

“Is it alright if she joins us?” Joe asked Chelsea amusedly.

“Of course,” she shrugged it off like it was no big deal before making her way towards the door.

I sent a wink to the others before Joe and I followed her.

“Katy’s not the jealous type,” I heard Rita whisper to the others. “But she will let you know whose boyfriend is whose if she has to.”

I smirked at her words as we exited the room.

Oh yes, I would gladly show Chelsea whose boyfriend Joe was.

--

Yeah, I was 99.9% sure that she had a thing for him after we arrived at the Putt Putt course.

She had flirted with him the entire way.

I really didn’t mind, though, it was actually quite amusing. Joe looked so uncomfortable by it.

“Joe,” Chelsea began as we stood in front of the first hole. “Can you show me how to swing this thing?”

“Uh-I-uh,” Joe stuttered as I coughed back a small amount of laughter.

“Here,” I began and stood next to her. “I’ll show you. Guys have different muscles than girls do so they swing differently. It would be pointless to have him show you.”

“Oh,” she responded with a fake smile as I proceeded to show her how to swing the club. “Thanks,” she muttered before swinging and following her ball down the small path.

“Nice,” Joe smirked as I set my ball down.

I grinned mischievously. “Do you think you can show me how to swing this thing?”

Joe chuckled. “Sure, but I thought guys had different muscles than girls.

I laughed as he dropped his club and stood behind me, wrapping his arms around me to ‘show me how to swing the club’. “Like I was going to let my boyfriend get all up on another girl.”

I felt his breath on my neck as he chuckled. “Good one.”

“Why, thank you,” I smiled as he helped me bring the club back and swung it with me.

It was a little awkward swinging with Joe and the ball didn’t go very far, but the look on Chelsea’s face made it all worth it.

And as we finished that hole and moved onto the next one, I made sure to have Joe “help” me swing again.

--

“Miniature golf is exhausting,” Joe plopped back onto a bench, Chelsea and I taking a seat on either side of him shortly after.

“That’s probably because you suck at it,” I teased.

He squinted his eyes at me. “I do not know what you’re talking about. I pone at mini golf.”

I giggled as he proceeded to show off his arm muscle. He was such a dork.

“I think you’re a very good miniature golfer,” Chelseatold him flirted.

“Thank you,” Joe told her as he gave me a look, confirming that I was indeed right about her liking him. “I’m glad someone thinks I have superb miniature golfing skills.”

“There you go using big words again,” I told him jokingly. “Did you check out thesaurus.com again before we left?”

“Haha,” he gave my arm a playful shove.

“I don’t think you’re stupid,” Chelsea piped in. “I think you’re quite intelligent.”

I let my eyes roll and ignored her, doing my best not to say a smart remark.

“I’m hungry,” Joe spoke awkwardly. It was funny how uncomfortable he got around Chelsea knowing that she liked him. He was completely oblivious before I mentioned anything.

“Food sounds good,” I agreed before we stood from the bench.

We made our way to the food cart and waited in line behind a group of kids.

The kids were almost done ordering their food when all of a suddenly, a flash of orange flew through the air and landed on Chelsea’s shirt.

Joe and I stared wide eyed as the owner of the orange slushie regained her composure from her small trip and stared at her delicious drink dripping from Chelsea’s shirt and hair.

I couldn’t help but let out a small snort of laughter before covering it with a cough, it was hilarious, but Chelsea’s upset face almost made me feel bad. Almost.

“I am so sorry,” the girl told her, an apologetic look on her face. She pulled out a wad of napkins from her pocket and tried to offer them to Chelsea, but she was not going to have that.

“What the hell was that?” Chelsea snapped. “This shirt was expensive and I just had my hair colored. Watch where you’re walking next time.”

“Excuse me?” The girl snapped right back. “You wanna be a bitch to me again?”

Joe and I stood stunned, as the catfight was about to unravel.

“What?” Chelsea’s voice dripped with attitude. “What makes you think you can talk to me like that, bitch?”

The girl let a smug smile spread across her face. “You know what, I take back that apology,” and without another word she poured the rest of her slushie on Chelsea’s head and stormed away.

“Unbelievable,” Chelsea hissed as Joe and I stared, unsure of what to do or say.

She looked up from her now orange shirt and up at Joe. “Can I borrow your sweatshirt?” She asked, and despite the fact that she had just gotten slushie spilt on her and into a mini catfight, there was flirtation in her voice.

I let out a heavy breath before sliding off my sweater. “Here, use mine,” I tried to be polite. “It’ll fit better.”

She bit back her frustration before accepting the garment and heading to the nearest bathroom.

Joe and I stood slightly awkwardly. I wanted to laugh at what had just happened, but I didn’t want to upset him so I just kept my mouth shut.

“That was kind of funny,” Joe glanced at me.

I smiled with a snort of laughter. “That was hilarious.”

He grinned, pulling me into a hug.

“Damn,” I muttered. “I thought some punches were going to be thrown.”

Joe chuckled. “No kidding.”

“She really likes you, though” I admitted quietly.

He looked down at me. “Where did that come from?”

“I dunno, she’s just so into you,” I spoke dimly as my head remained in the crook of his neck. “It kind of bothers me.”

“Why?” He asked. “I don’t have any feelings for her whatsoever.”

“I know that,” I muttered. “But she won’t give up. She keeps going after you and that’s just wrong. It would be one thing if you were single and we were fighting for you, but you’re not. It’s just frustrating and annoying.”

“I know,” he whispered before leaving a kiss on my cheek. “She’s coming.”

“Great,” I replied sarcastically before I stepped away from him.

“Are you cold?” He asked me once Chelsea was almost to us, and in hearing range. “Here,” he told me before pulling off his sweatshirt and helping me put it on.

I couldn’t help but smile. It was his way of reassuring me that Chelsea’s feelings weren’t returned, in any way.

“Can we leave?” Chelsea asked once I had Joe’s sweatshirt on. “We should just eat at the hotel, and maybe catch a movie or something?” Her eyes were directly on Joe’s.

“Sure,” he replied with a shrug. “But let me go to the bathroom real quick.”

I gave him a look before he hurried off. I couldn’t believe that he was going to leave me with her. Alone.

Awkward was an understatement to what it was like to stand next to Chelsea, the girl who was trying to steal my boyfriend.

I watched as she smiled smugly before looking around.

“He’s in a relationship, you know,” I told her, watching as she scrunched her face up at me.

“What are you talking about?”

“Joe,” I stated. “He’s in a relationship and has been so for months. It’s wrong what you’re doing.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she gave me a dirty look before glancing away.

“Oh yes you do,” I retorted bitterly. “And morally it’s wrong to do what you’re doing. I know that it’s easy to fall for a taken guy, I completely understand that, and it’s okay to do that. But you keep flirting with him and making moves on him, and that’s what’s wrong. You can’t do that. That’s selfish, and you shouldn’t put Joe in that position, you can really hurt him.”

She kept her eyes away from me.

“Whatever has happened so far, has happened. But from now on, I want you to stop,” I stated firmly. “Give it up.”

She finally directed her eyes at me, her face looking defeated.

She stared at me for a moment before letting out a breath of air. “I’ll stop,” she offered before turning her head down in shame.

“Thank you,” I muttered, slightly impressed with myself. I had boldly told her to stand down and she listened.

“Joe and I had a connection before he was with you,” she explained, glancing up at me. “And I thought that by coming here, maybe he’d realize that he was meant to be with me and not you.

“I know how wrong it is to think that, but I did. And I let myself believe that he would willingly leave you for me. He didn’t, though. He’s crazy for you, Katy. I don’t think anyone will ever be able to break you guys up. You’re perfect for each other.”

I watched her for a moment; she looked completely crushed and heartbroken. I was going to respond to her, but was cut off by Joe reappearing next to us, looking chipper and happy.

“Ready?” He spoke enthusiastically.

I offered him a smile before Chelsea and I silently followed him.

I watched her as she quietly entered the car and stared out the window, looking gloomy the whole way back to the hotel.

And despite all that had happened in the previous days, I actually felt bad for her.

--

We arrived back to the hotel in no time, Joe talking animatedly the whole time. I couldn’t tell you what he was talking about, though.

I was too preoccupied with what had happened during his short trip to the bathroom to pay any attention.

I felt bad for Chelsea; it would truly suck to be in that position. But I felt relieved; she was finally going to back off of my boyfriend.

Even though Joe continuously reassured me that I was his one and only, I couldn’t help but let the emotional girl side come out and wonder if he would leave me for her. I know it’s awful to think, but I wasn’t always very confident in myself.

I was ready for the day to be over with.

Joe finished his story with a grin once we reached his hotel room.

Chelsea quietly excused herself and made her way to her room, pausing in front of her door at Joe’s voice.

“Don’t you want to come watch a movie or something?” He asked, looking over at her. “We still have a few hours before the interview.”

“Nah, go ahead and watch it without me,” she smiled. “I actually have to leave and head home soon. My mom text me saying that I needed to be home tonight, I have this thing tomorrow,” she told him, making up a white lie in the process.

“Aw, that’s a bummer,” Joe replied. “Once you get packed up, be sure to say goodbye!”

“Okay,” she attempted to smile before pulling out her key to insert it into the door.

Joe pushed in his key and started into his room. “So what movie do you want to watch?”

“Um,” I glanced at Chelsea, who wasn’t quite in her room yet. “Surprise me. I have to run and do something real quick.”

“Uh, okay,” he shrugged his shoulders before entering his room and letting his door shut behind him.

I made my way towards Chelsea, who still didn’t have her doom open yet.

“Thank you,” I told her honestly, watching as she turned to look at me.

“You’re welcome,” she replied, a sincere look on her face. “I’m sorry about everything.”

“It’s okay,” I replied, willing to let it go. As long as everything turned out okay from this point on, I was okay.

“Good luck to you guys, you really are perfect for each other.”

“Thank you,” I smiled. “Good luck to you, as well. There’s gotta be someone out there for you, who isn’t taken.”

“Thanks,” she returned the smile with a small chuckle.

Yep, as of now, things were going to be okay.

First off, I am SO sorry about the wait. I was busy with Christmas and then I went out of town for a week and didn't have time to update. I was also kind of in a funk with my writing, but I'm finally back on track. And I'm out of school for another week so hopefully more updates really soon!

Thanks for sticking around to read! =) It means a lot to me! Comment please?

And what do you guys say to a little steaminess in the next chapter??? ;D

And one more thing, the girl who spilled her slushie on Chelsea was Alice(Juno). =) She was dying to cause harm to Chelsea so I had to add that.

Thanks, again! And sorry, again!
