Love Lockdown

When we finally reached Matt and Oli I shifted from side to side uncomfortably and rubbed my arms. Oli just looked down at his feet and bit his lip. Oh god this was already awkward and we haven’t even been around each other for five seconds yet. I continued to focus on my ice cream until unfortunately it was all gone. I could always buy more, since there was nothing in this mall that I wanted to spend my money on.

“Guys seriously stop making things awkward.” Jamie said cutting into the silence.

“What are you talking about?” I asked trying to play dumb it clearly wasn’t working. Jamie just rolled her eyes at me.

“Anyway Matt and I wanted to go the movies.” She stated and I groaned there seriously wasn’t anything I wanted to see.

“There’s nothing I want to see.” I whined.

“Me either.” Oli said quietly and then Jamie started smiling like a mad woman and I instantly knew what she was thinking.

“Well then that’s perfect since you both don’t want to see anything you two can hang out together and then we’ll pick you up afterwards.”

“I can drive you know. Just give me the keys to your car and drive home with Matt.” I stated.

“You’re pregnant nobody wants you driving.” Matt butted in and I stuck my tongue out at him.

“Besides that would mean Oli would be stranded here because we drove here in my car.” I was going to make a smart ass remark about how I didn’t care if he was stranded or not but I didn’t feel like being extremely rude today so I just bit my tongue and didn’t say anything.

“You need to find stuff to wear, you need maternity clothes woman, you’re regular clothes aren’t going to fit right after a while.” Jamie stated. “And since Oli technically is your baby’s daddy I think it would be a good idea for him to help you.”

“Exactly it’s an awesome Idea.” Matt agreed and I could have strangled them both if I didn’t love them to death. I just rolled my eyes knowing that I was going to lose this argument.

“If Oliver wants to help me look for clothes he can if he wants to I don’t really care.”

“Yeah I’ll help her, I don’t mind.” Oli said with a hint of excitement in his voice. Jamie was smirking at me like crazy and if she wasn’t my best friend I would have stabbed her. Matt walked closer to Oli and started talking to him. I didn’t bother to pay attention to them.

“Oh cheer up, you know you miss being around Oli.” Jamie stated lightly shoving my shoulder and I rolled my eyes again like I always do.

“I do not.” I protested and she just laughed.

“Bullshit.”

“Aren’t you the one that said I was better off without him?” I countered back and it was her turn to roll her eyes.

“Yeah but that’s because I was pissed off at him. But it’s painfully obvious that you to need to get back together because you’re both miserable without each other.”

“Sure, whatever.” I said trying to ignore the fact that she was right.

“Oh you know you’re excited that it’s just going to be you two for the rest of the day. And besides maybe finally being around each other is what you need. You guys seriously need to talk about things and now you have the chance.”

“Fine I’ll give it a shot. But don’t be surprised if this backfires. I know you and Matt planned this whole thing.” Jamie just gasped in fact shock.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

“Sure you don’t.”

“Jamie you ready to go?” Matt asked before patting Oli’s back and walking towards us with Oli right behind him.

“Yep I’m ready. You two have fun.” She said hugging me before linking hands with Matt and walking off. Oli and I just stood there for a few moments not knowing what to do or say.

Eventually Oli broke the silence between us. “Was there a specific store you wanted to go to?”

“Not really, I don’t even know what I want, I’ve just been wearing hoodies for a while and I know those won’t last me much longer. I know I need new jackets and pants, it’s supposed to start snowing soon.” I explained and Oli just nodded.

“Well then I guess we’ll just have to look through a few stores and just see what they have. We don’t have to stay in the mall if you don’t want to; Matt slipped me his car keys so we can go other places too.”

“Well Jamie and I didn’t go to Target yet, I guess we could go there first then go somewhere else after. I’m pretty hungry so I guess we could get something to eat.”

“It’s whatever you want.” Oli said smiling down at me, I didn’t want to but the corners of my mouth started to twitch into a smile as well. We both started walking and out of nowhere Oli grabbed my hand and entwined our fingers. I was slightly shocked at first and I wanted to yank my hand away but my hand felt nice in his so I just left it there. I seriously missed holding his hand but there is no way I’m telling him that.

Finally seeing Target in view we made our way down the escalator and through the automatic doors and into Target. Both of us looked at each other not sure where to go. We both shrugged then started laughing.

“Wanna try this way first?” Oli asked squeezing my hand.

“Sure.” He smiled down and me and then started leading the way to wear he thought the women’s section was. Eventually we found it and I let go of Oli’s hand and started searching through the maternity section for clothes I thought would look nice.

“I think these would look cute on you.” Oli said holding up a bunch of different items of clothing. I looked them all over and smirked to myself, he always knows what I like.

“Well I gotta try them on.” Oli nodded and then we made our way to the dressing rooms. When we arrived there were no workers there. We both looked at each other confused and then we both shrugged. Oli handed me a couple of clothes before I walked into one of the dressing rooms and shut the door behind me. I sighed deeply to myself before I started to strip out of my clothes and try on outfit after outfit. I pouted to myself; I didn’t like any of the outfits that I had put on. There was nothing wrong with the outfits I was just starting to feel insecure.

“Nay are you okay in there?” Oli asked knocking on the door.

“Yeah I’m fine. I just don’t like any of these outfits.”

“Why?”

“I’m too ugly to wear these.” I whined my hormones starting to kick in.

“Nay open the door and let me in.” Oli stated seriously and I didn’t bother to object. I sighed to myself again before I unlocked the door. Oli stepped in moments later and locked it behind me. “You look beautiful and that outfit looks really nice on you.”

“Sure it does...” I trailed off from what I was going to say. Oli lifted my face so that I was looking him straight in the eyes.

“I mean it Nay, there is nothing about you that isn’t beautiful.” He wrapped me in a tight hug and I couldn’t help but smile into his chest and inhale the sent of his cologne. Gosh I missed him so much. He means the world to be and I know this stupid mistake can’t take him away from me.

We pulled away from each other but we still held each other at arms length. I couldn’t help but stare up into his eyes and I didn’t even notice how close we were becoming until our lips connected. The sparks that I haven’t in so long ignited in my stomach and I leaned up on my toes and wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer to me. Our kiss deepened and Oli had me pressed up against the dressing room mirror. Eventually we pulled apart and were breathing extremely heavy. Catching our breath I pecked his lips again and stepped back.

“I missed you so much Oli.” I whispered and he smiled down at me.

“You called me Oli instead of Oliver.” He stated smirking.

“Yes because I’m not mad at you anymore. You may be a dumbass at times but I can’t stay mad you.” I stated. “I love you, even though you’re stupid.”

“I love you too. Even though you’re to good for me.”

“Baby don’t say that. It’s not true.” I cooed leaning up to kiss his cheek.

“So...are we back together?” he asked hope shining in his eyes.

“Yes, I’d say we are, but I’m still going to live with Jamie and Matt. I can’t stay in the same house as Melissa I might end up killing her.” I stated seriously and Oli just laughed at me.

“Fair enough.” He said kissing my cheek. “Now do you want to get out of here and go do something else?”

“Yeah, I’ll just buy these clothes first.” Oli nodded and let me change back into my clothes. When I finished dressing Oli and I picked up the clothes and walked out of the dressing room. We came face to face with one of the employees staring at us confused. Oli and I just walked away not saying a word.

When we reached the cash registers would started laughing uncontrollably to the point where tears were leaking down our faces. Much to my protest Oli paid for my clothes and soon enough we were walking hand in hand to Matt’s car. I looked up at Oli and couldn’t help but smile. He could be such an idiot at times but I couldn’t help but love him with all that I have.
