Chapter 12: Can He Not Take a Hint
Edward’s POV:
We walked into the restaurant and I held Serena close to me incase anyone decides to eye her up and down again. We arrive at a little hostess table and a girl around 19 or so appears she smiles and eyes us all up and down her gaze lingers on me. I read her thoughts Who is tall dark and yummy? I will take one of him covered in chocolate she licks her lips trying to be sexy and then she notices Serena who is to busy looking around to notice the girl. I hear the girl scoff in her mind wonder how much work she has had done no way Little Miss plastic is real why is it the slutty fake airheads all ways get the hot ones. Little skank doesn’t deserve him her thoughts were vicious and cold and directed at MY Serena. I smirked knowing something to piss this little brat off.
I pulled Serena closer and looked down at her into her big green eyes “Love you” I said loud enough for the girl to hear
Serena smiled and my non-beating heart did a flip as she said “Love you too” she kissed my cheek and curled closer to my body
Fucking slut I glared at the girl as she said in French “Let me take you to your table” she batted her eyelashes flirtatiously at me and I simply rolled my eyes and glared at her before burring my face in Serena’s hair causing her to giggle. The girl pouted and led us to the table. As we walked I played with a lock of Serena’s long blonde hair curling it around my fingers then letting the silken strands fall away. She giggled and I heard the brat of a hostess sneer Wonder how much work it took to perfect that giggle? She has him wrapped around her overly manicured finger. Life isn’t fucking fair! I deserve a guy like him NO HIM more than she does!! I scoffed and I glared at the back of the girl’s head. We arrived at the large circular booth and I watched as the family slid into the booth leaving the closet end for Serena and I in slid in next to Alice and pulled Serena close as she sat down. The hostess glared at Serena and smiled flirtatiously at me saying “Your waiter will be here any moment” I made a disgusted face at her and pulled Serena closer feeling the need to touch her for reassurance this crazy bitch wouldn’t attack me.
Serena snuggled closer before leaning over me to chat with a smirking Alice. The girl gave Serena one more glare before stalking away. I played once again with a tendril of Serena’s hair I spun it around my fingers before releasing it. You truly love her don’t you I heard Esme’s voice whisper threw my head. I looked at her and mouthed yes before it was visible to Serena. Esme smiled radiantly and whispered softly with Carlisle how happy she was. Just then Serena giggled and sat up slowly extracting her long silky hair from my marble fingers.
A man around the age of 20 walked forward to the table her carried a notepad and pen. He stopped at our table and scanned the table while thinking Milf[Esme], Way to Blonde[Carlisle], Idiot Brute[Emmet], Hott[Rosalie], Serial Killer[Jasper], Cute[Alice], Compotation[Me], What’s My Name Again? [MYSerena] the man stared at Serena for a moment before saying with a slight French accent in English “I’m Derek your waiter what can I get you today?” his eyes seemed clued to Serena as the scanned every curve of her body
I felt her shiver and shift her legs all the way onto my lap as Carlisle told the man “We have already eaten it is just the girl on the end. Serena what would you like to have for lunch” His voice was kind towards Serena and she visibly relaxed
“Ok sugar what can I get you?” Derek said with a smirk on his face
“Just a bowl of Onion soup and some baguette with water to drink please” She said with a smile
Derek was dazed for a moment before saying “Ok sugar I’ll have that out as soon as possible” Serena nodded looking strangely at the guy
The moment the man was out of ear shot Serena leaned over and broke out laughing before gasping “He was trying SO HARD!!!” she broke into giggles again
Alice giggle and said “It was pathetic you’re practically in Edward’s lap and he still tried hitting on you. Desperate Much?”
“Can’t blame him though the guy had to try” Rosalie said picking at her nails nonchalantly
“I don’t like it” I huffed before pulling Serena fully into my lap “Let’s see if he tries now” I cooed into her ear she giggled as I kissed her throat feeling her pulse beneath my lips was he biggest temptation I had ever faced.
Just then Derek arrived with Serena’s food I kept my face buried in her neck as he set her food down and said “Anything else I can get you, sugar?” I could feel him glaring at me.
I laughed causing cool air to fan over Serena’s neck she giggled while saying “Nah this is perfect” she touched my head tugging on my hair I played along and lifted my head begrudgingly “Stop it Edward” she giggled picking up her spoon. I turned and saw Derek glaring at me while thinking up and torturous way to steal Serena from me, and he thought of killing me in slow painful ways. I just smirked at him and pulled her closer to my cold hard body. He glared once more before leaving
“Can he not take a hint?” Rosalie said not even lifting her head from her nails
“Nope” Serena popped before taking another bite then she said “This is REALLY good”

Serena had devoured the large bowl of soup and 3 pieces of baguette she had been given. I dropped 5 Euros on the table before standing up I looked at my watch it read 2:45. “Serena baby you can call your dad now if you would like it is 6:45 there you can catch him before work” I said pulling her close and handing her my little silver cell phone. She snuggled closer into my cold stone arm while flipping open the phone an dialing her father’s phone number.
”Hello?” her fathers voice answered on the other line
“Hi Daddy” Serena said her smile huge
”Serena baby how are you I miss you. Pumpkin where exactly are you?”
“That’s why I’m calling Daddy. I’m in Paris, and there is more so please don’t freak” Serena said biting her full bottom lips
“I’ll try” He sounded nervous as to what his daughter would say
“I got offered a modeling job with a top designer her the show is in a week I would be gone for about 2 more weeks then planned” Serena said nervously there was no answer “Please Daddy I really want this it is once in a life time Daddy girl my height never model this is incredible I’m begging I’ll get caught up once I’m back I swear just please daddy” Serena begged into the phon as we walked down the streets of Paris I read Alice’s mind and saw Serena’s father would agree so I relaxed knowing soon she would be happy again
“Fine” he sighed “Just have them fax me the permission agreements or whatever to my office I will sign them”
“THANK YOU DADDY!!” Serena squealed happily “I love you Daddy I have to go”
