Serena: A Whole New Breed of Vampire

Edward’s POV:

Serena had been asleep for three hours it was now around 3 in the morning. I heard the door fly open and I heard Alice flying up the stairs I further tucked Serena’s naked body under the covers after reading my sister’s thoughts. Our door burst open and I watched as Alice made a move to get into the bed “Alice” I warned, “Don’t”

“But” she said looking hurt “I had the most horrible vision all I could see was blurs and blood I was so scared you both were dead” she said reaching out to touch Serena’s hair protectively

“Go. Give me a moment and you may get into bed with her I know all of you would like to sleep with her” I said hearing all the women’s thoughts in the house.

“Thanks” Katrina Esme and Rose all called from down stairs

“Alice I just need a second” It was then that she looked around the room she saw my shredded clothes and she saw no trace of clothing for Serena her mouth dropped and she thought You didn’t?

I shook my head and moved Serena’s hair so the bite was visible to Alice she squinted for a second before the faint line registered in her mind “We got close but we didn’t” I whispered replacing Serena’s soft hair “Now leave for a moment I simply need to get us dressed and change the sheets”

Alice walked out of the room mumbling, “I can’t believe I didn’t smell it before”

I wiggled out from under Serena just as the conversation down stairs began “So? Did they get it done?” Rose asked softly like I couldn’t hear. I shook my head at my sister as I grabbed all the things I would need to get us dressed and change the sheets.

I pulled on boxers and a pair of sweats, as Alice said “No” there was a pause before she blurted “But they got close”

“Did he bite her?” I heard surprisingly Emmet ask

Alice’s thoughts were hesitant as I pulled the covers away from Serena’s luscious still naked body. She shivered and her eyes opened as Alice said softly down stairs “Yeah but the bite was near invisible”

“They are. I have them all over” Katrina said nonchalantly as I heard what I assumed was her cleaning the kitchen with a chuckling Esme downstairs

“Do I need to change?” Serena’s slightly groggy voice asked as the house went silent

“Yes and Alice Katrina and Rose wanted to sleep with you tonight so I need to change the sheets” I said softly my hand caressing her cheek. She nodded as I handed her a pair of panties shorts and a tank top. She stood and changed as I changed the bedding. I smiled when she sexily looked at me.

She walked forward and whispered “I had the best night baby” before her lips connected with mine

“Should we interrupt?” I heard Alice whisper down stairs

Serena shook her head and called out “Come on girls I’m exhausted” she looked pointedly into my eyes as she said this

“You should be” Katrina said walking in “No doubt he drank you nearly dry” she giggled and plopped on the bed the other women joining her “Go hunting with Lupa tomorrow” Katrina said As Alice Esme and Rose joined her on the bed

“Night love see you very soon get your rest,” I mumbled pecking her lips and hesitating before I took off towards the library.

I heard Katrina say “If you’re tired now wait till the sex you’ll be dead…again” they all giggled Serena’s sounding sleepy as she fell quickly asleep Katrina followed soon after.

Serena’s POV:

Emmett plunged threw me before I roundhouse kicked him in the back sending him about a hundred yards across the meadow. Katrina screamed making Jasper and Carlisle fall to the ground. As Edward ran full speed towards me I glared and simply paralyzed everyone on the field before shouting “Who said Edward could fight me that isn’t fair” I heard Emmett chuckle behind me from his frozen state “So not cool” I said releasing everyone but Edward. Emmett smirked and came plummeting towards me I released my state make my molecular make up like air. Emmet hurtled threw my colliding with Edward as I released him from his frozen state.

“We need to rest now” Carlisle’s calm voice said “The storm is rolling in soon and we need to move Serena into the mountain camp before the weather gets to terrible.” Carlisle smiled at me as Alice appeared with the camping supplies

“Leah and Jacob are going with her to the camp” Sam said stepping from the forest with Jake in wolf form and Leah into human form

“WHAT?!?!” Edward and I both hissed

“It is just over night” Carlisle persuaded

“Cant Paul or Jared” I whined stomping my foot causing leah to bark and me to poke my tongue at her

“They both have imprints” Sam said shaking his head

“Seth?” I asked

“Needs to see his mom Leah probably will need to see her soon too” Edward said glaring at Jacob “the mutt’s thoughts” I looked at Leah. Her large head slowly nodded her eyes pleading I grumbled profanities under my breath causing Edward to chuckle

“Come on then we only have a bit of time to get there” I said frowning and taking the pack from Alice. I stopped kissed Edward and said “take the back root I’ll see you soon baby”

“few hours love not very long Leah will keep you busy while I’m away” He kissed me before pressing me towards the path I was to take

“Bye y’all” I said taking off I went just shy of my fastest pace Leah kept up easily Jacob would slip occasionally back behind us. I heard his thoughts and would snap “Don’t think about my ass mutt” we arrived after about 35 minutes of running I was shivering the snow had rolled in early. I swiftly made the tent in a moment and was inside bundled in new dry warm clothes and a sleeping bag.

Leah stepped in and asked “Cold?” just as the wind kicked up blowing insistantly

I heard Jake howl out side “Not happening” I yelled threw chattering teeth

“What did he want?” Leah asked sitting down and getting in the sleeping bag her warmth was a savior soon I could feel my numb toes again

“He said he could think of a few ways he could keep my warm” I said hiding in her neck I felt her laugh and I growled deep in my throat.

I could make you ten times warmer than Leah can and it would be more fun for the both of us Jacob’s voice wrapped around my mind

I growled menacingly and shut off my powers “I will not have sex with you Jacob” I growled disgusted I heard a deep snarl and within the second the tent zipped open with a flourish of snow and Edward was inside

“She is freezing I though since she was half vamp this wouldn’t happen” Leah said clutching me tighter to her warm body as I continued to chatter and shake

“I don’t know” Edward said looking distressed but not touching me for fear of chilling me more

“Maybe” he whispered “Her heart beats slower than a human’s. the vampire in her can combat a chill but not a constant below freezing cold because her blood doesn’t circulate fast enough. Her heart would have to beat constantly faster than a human’s to keep her warm in this weather. I’m so sorry baby I know your freezing but I can’t help you” he said his voice sounding utterly destroyed. Leah’s warmth helped me become just cold not freezing but she wasn’t warm enough to warm me thourghly so I sat shaking in her arms for several hours.

We all snapped to the entrance hearing a zip and soon a shirtless Jacob stood there he sighed and said “Leah you need to go see your mom” she growled holding my shivering form closer

“Leah this could be the end” I whispered between chattering “You need to see her”

“Paul will be here soon to keep you warm he is saying goodbye to Kim” she said retracting her arms from my body immediately I grew colder and colder until I was shaking so bad I couldn’t see and it felt like my teeth would shatter “I can’t leave her like this” I barely heard Leah say

“Go” I was surprised it was Edward who said the command “Mutt get in that sleeping bag before I strangle you” Edward threatened. I felt the sleeping unzip and a larger body replace Leah’s, Jacob wrapped me tightly in his arm. Slowly his warm seeped into my body my eyes lazily drooped. For once all night I wasn’t shivering Jacob was warmer than Leah was he helped my shivering more. Reluctantly I pressed my cold nose and fingertips to him. He hissed but kept quiet as I subconsciously pressed closer to his body seeking more heat.

“Control you’re thoughts mutt” I barely heard Edward his threw my sleepy fog

My eyes collapsed as I let my powers kick in reading his thoughts. In Jacob’s mind I was naked in the sleeping bag and so was he. I cringed at the image. As would have growled had I not been so far into the realm of sleep as he growled “I can’t help it she is my imprint that one is pretty pg-13 compared to all the stuff I’ve thought about since meeting her” his arms tightened around my hazy form and I made a sleepy noise feeling warmer and warmer.

“To bad for you I’m the only one she wants” Edward hissed

“Doesn’t look that way” Jacob said as he touched my pale blonde locks where my face was buried in his neck seeking warmth “She looks pretty content with me right now don’t you think”

“Yes and thank you for being a human space heater, but that is all you will ever be to her a human space heater a living inanimate object not a lover. Get that threw your skull, pup” Edward’s voice was cold, but Jacob kinda deserved it.

“That maybe all I am right now but soon she will grow tired of your icy touches and will seek the heat only I can give her” Jacob growled to Edward

“We will see” Edward said and I felt his trace of fear.

Jacob’s deep chuckle filled the tiny space I could hear the smirk in his voice “But you already knew that” another chuckle “You knew she wouldn’t wantonly ou for the rest of eternity no girl like her will want to be tied down. How long do you think you with have her leech a decade two maybe longer. How long?” Jacob questioned clear hate in his voice

“I will have her for as long as she wants me” I could hear and feel his pain

“forever” I mumbled before no longer being able to keep fighting off the sleep I needed.

Paul held me tightly, but the earth had warmed up minimal allowing me to fend off the cold more easily still I clung to him for dear life. Alice had called us saying Katrina was being held by Seth down on the baseball field where the fight would take place and they would call us when the time came to fight. I was most curious as to what Caius would do, but I knew we could kill him or that would mean death to the family.

My heart had began to race allowing me to venture outside as I grew more and more nervous. Jacob gazed at me his tail flicking back and forth as Paul stood in human form ready to hold me in I needed it “Edward” I whispered

I’m scared was all I said falling into his cold arms for the first time in eight hours I need this contact I needed him. Despite the chill seeping slowly into me I needed him to hold me. My nervous heart fought off most to the cold no problem.

We all are going to be fine he thought kissing the top of my head suddenly a phone rang all of our eyes snapped to Edward’s pockethe removed the phone flipped it open and we all heard Alice’s voice say “It’s time”
