Please Tell Me What We Have Is Real

Scars

One week is how long it been since I took Brian back. Of everything that has happened in our relationship, good or bad, this was the one instance where I reminded myself that I could have easily lost him. Madison was slowly getting over her cold, which made us more attentive to her lately, and was way to full of energy. Since she had woke me up at five o'clock this morning, I decided to clean up the mess left from Brian coming back and do the laundry.

After I gathered both our clothes and Madi's, I put them in the washer and started it before going back upstairs and laying down beside Brian, who was ruining my pillow. After I moved the pillow and held his arm up so I could slide under it, I just stared at his face, taking in his features and how much I missed him. Reaching my hand up, I traced his jaw bone before moving up to his cheeks and tapping his lips with a finger. His eyes started to flutter and then slowly opened.

"Morning." I said when he finally opened his eyes.

"Morning." He yawned and moved his arm so he could rub his eyes before slinging it over my waist and pulling me closer. I snuggled into his chest and looked up at him to see him glaring at the clock on my nightstand.

"Madison was up really early this morning." I explained when he saw what time it was.

"It's way to early to be awake." He whined. I shrugged and moved over so he could roll onto his back.

"I know, but she started crying, then coughing so I fed her, changed her, and gave her some of her drops before she fell asleep. I then put the laundry in, so I need to put it in the dryer." I replied.

"Go do it and then come back up here and sleep." He stated. He was slowly falling back asleep and had his eyes closed. I did as he said and when I came back up stairs, Brian was back asleep, so I curled up next to him and let sleep take over.

"Your really pretty." I looked up at the voice to find abrown haired, brown eyed boy standing in front of me.

"Thank you." I replied. My mom had sent me to pre-school and I had a hard time making friends. This kid looked like someone I could get along with.

"You Welcome. Can I play with you?" He asked. I nodded and he sat down next to me.

"I'm Brian. Whats your name?" He stated.

"Chloe." For some odd reason I was playing with dumptrucks rather than a doll.

"How come your not playing with dolls like the other girls?" He asked. He had his thumb in his mouth so it was muffled.

"I dunna know. They don't really like me over there." There were four other girls by the swings who tortured me to know end.

"Well there lame." He said. I laughed and continued to fill up the truck with sand before pouring it out.

"What do you like to do for fun?" I asked him.

"Well, my dad is a guitarist, so I like to learn that. Plus of course build sand castles. What about you?" He shrugged.

"I like anything. My mommy doesn't let me do much." I sighed. It was true, I didn't have siblings so I was always alone.

"OH that sucks." I nodded.

"Will you be my best friend?" He asked.

"Sure. As long as you'll be mine."

"I will forever." He said.

"And always." I said.

"When I'm a rockstar you'll be the person I thank the most." He stated proudly.

"I'll hold you to that." I replied. Our teacher called us to go back in for class.

When I got home that day, I told my mom about my new friend and she said that he was just being nice. But I knew he was going to be there forever and always.

I was awaken from my dream by someone grabbing my cheeks and giggling. Slowly opening my eyes I noticed that it was Madison and Brian was kneeling on his side of the bed laughing at her.

"Hey babygirl, when did you get up?" I yawned. She just cooed and turned around so she could crawl back to her daddy. I looked at the clock and now saw it was ten o'clock.

"You looked so peaceful I had to let you sleep." Brian said.He moved Madi back in the middle of the bed and layed on his side of the bed.

"I had a good dream." I said while tickling Madison.

"About what?" He said. Pinkly jumped up on the bed and curled up at the foot.

"When I first met you." I replied. I saw his smile brighten.

"Told you I would keep my promise." He said.

"I know. I still find it funny you sucked your thumb till you were five." I started laughing when his face turned into a pout.

"Did not." Real mature Brian. I looked down and saw that Madison was yawning and almost asleep already.

"This never gets old." I said referring to our life, and our daughter.

"I agree. And it never will." I love this man and knew that our family would be expanding.

"I think we should call everyone and go to the beach today." Brian stated.

"Sounds like a plan. Are we taking her though?" Madi was in fact asleep again.

"Nah, I'll have dad and Suzy watch her. She's still sick and I don't think we should risk it." I agreed and he went to call them to watch her.

No matter the ups and downs we've had, our love has never changed. Brian had constantly proved it everyday and I'll never doubt him.
