You Don't Need Superpowers

Saige's POV

I tried to stop Bria as she charged at him, but i was no match for her strength. "No!" I cried out when she grabbed him. It was on the other side of the room, so I couldn't tell what they were saying. When Bria let go of him, I ran over to his side. I'm not completely cold hearted.

"Are you okay?" I asked, brushing my hair back behind my ear.

"Get away from him," Gustav said, pulling me off the ground.

"No! Don't you see? This is all my fault!" I pulled his grip off of me. "If I hadn't made him out to be such a threat, we wouldn't be in this situation. I'm not one to hate someone forever. I can't hate people. It doesn't feel right. Bria, I want you to stop hurting him. BIll, I want you to stop encouraging him. And Skyler, why id you bring them here?"

"I was mad at Bria. My nose has to be like this for a while, and It'll never be the same, afterwards." He looked like he was about to cry.

"See? It's my fault. If that's the thing you enjoy, placing the blame, then give me the blame, just leave him alone." I sat down on the couch and buried my face in my hands. This was so fucking hard. Life was so fucking hard.

"Saige, all I want to know is... how can you forgive him?" GUstav whispered in my ear.

"I'm not an atheist. I believe that God forgives everybody. When the Romans nailed Jesus to the cross, what did he say?"

"Father, forgive them, for they know not their sins," Bria said, staring at the ground, her foot making a circle on the floor.

"That's how I can forgive him. Can't you?" I asked. Everybody was still standing there. Silent.

"Who that?" Harry asked, coming into the room.

"THat's Skyler," I said, when I noticed who he was pointing at.

"And that's my son," he whispered to me. I nodded.

"He's got your face," I mumbled, pretty much inaudible.

"He does," Skyler said, and picked Harry up. Harry squished Skyler's cheeks together.

"Sky-were..." he seemed to be thinking.

"Don't-" I pulled Gustav back down when he got up to get Harry. I didn't want to ruin any of this.

"This is shit," Tom said, walking up the stairs. "God doesn't exist,"

"Yeah, whatever," BIll muttered, following him.

I laughed, looking out the window. "Guys, these aren't the paparazzi," I laughed.

"What?" Bria said, disbelieving. We looked out the window. Outside were all our fellow classmates.

"Awe, they love us!" I said, running ouside. Bria came out too, but Ann didn't follow. Charlotte eventually dragged her out, still holding Riley.

"Dude, Ann's got a baby!" Hunter yelled, and he and Kuliu went over to look at Riley. Marc came up to me and smiled.

"So, this is your dream?" he asked me.

"Nah, this is just the end of it. It's a hellish nightmare after this," I laughed, and he pulled me into a hug.

"Wat, did you get knocked up, too?"

"Haha, no. That's so high school," I smiled.

"So where do you go after this?" he asked me.

"Bachelorette party. I didn't gt one before, so I get one now," I smiled. GUstav had been kind enough to do it for me.

"Ooh, can I come?" Logan asked, bouncing up to me.

"no, you can stay here, with Ricky."

"Fine, whatever."

"So I'll see you around, eh Marc?" He nodded and I went back insid, where Skyler was still fussing over Harry.
