All's Fair in Love and Pain

Alexia has always been the privileged American girl, but once things start falling around her her entire shell starts to crumble. Her mother passed away just a few years ago, and so she is now raised by her father-the First Congressman of Connecticut-whose never around, and doesn't give her or her twin brother Cody the time of day. Unless of course he's hitting them for reasons even they aren't aware of. All Alexia knows is that her father loved her mother very much, and ever since her death her father hasn't been the same. So, in order to cope with an abusive father and a life already made for her-one that she hasn't picked out herself-she harms herself. Her only way of dealing with emotional pain is to either make herself bleed or starve. The only way to get better is if she sees a reason why to.
