Breaking the Rules, NHL Style

part ten You’ve Got Something Of Mine

“So what’d Marc say to you?” Kallie eyed me.

We were in my bathroom, taking off our makeup, and changing into PJ’s.

“Nothing," I sang, a small smile dancing on my lips.

“What’d he say? C'mon Tristan! Tell me," she laughed, all though I could tell she was a little mad.

"I told you, he really said nothing."

"Ohmygod, what did he do?"

That, I'm not telling. When do you guys leave?”

She huffed, “We leave on tuesday, can we stay with you that long? I know that I am trying to come again right after you're birthday.” Kallie said.

She was now washing her face. I had already done that. I was wearing a baggy black Penguins t-shirt and blue short shorts. I put my hair in a bun.

“Of course you guys are allowed to stay! And that would be really awesome if we could spend some more time together. So are you ready to sleep downstairs?” I asked.

“You bet!”

I grabbed a blanket from my bed and a pillow, Kallie doing the same. We walked to the basement, where the boys were already playing video games, well they hadn’t stopped since the party was over. We were all sleeping in the media room tonight.

“I call sleeping next to Tristan!” Bugsy, Kris and Max called as I walked into the room.

“Maybe I wanna sleep next to Jordan and Sidney, or Kallie, Robert and Ryan!” I said laughing.

Marc looked over and smiled at me. Butterflies split my stomach. I really wanted to climb over and talk to him, but decided against it since Evgeni was glaring holes through the back of my head.

'Sweet dreams," Marc whispered, he knew I was pretty tired. And turned to Sidney, who raised an eyebrow at both of us.

I laid down on Bugsy’s stomach, Kris on mine, and Max was laying next to me. I laughed. Falling asleep seconds later.

- - - -

“Tristan.”

My eyes shot open.

“Jesus, scare the hell outta me,” I hissed at Kallie.

“C'mon,” she whispered, reaching down and quietly pulled me off of Bugsy. We quickly opened the door, and ran upstairs.

“Ready for the plan?” I asked, so excited.

“You bet!!”

We walked to my bathroom and grabbed some of my cheep makeup. It was three thirty in the morning, and by now all of the boys were asleep.

I handed a blue and a purple eye shadow, some blush and two brushes and a bright pink lipstick to Kallie, grabbing the same for me.

“Wait, we should put some on, to make it look like we didn’t do it!” I said smartly. I put the blue and purple eye shadow all over my eyes and big circles of blush on my face. Kallie did the same.

“I call, Max, Bugsy, Evgeni, Ryan, and Marc!” I whispered, as if the boys could even hear us.

“Sounds good, I’ve got Sidney, Jordan, Kris, and Robert!”

"Dang, I wanted Kris!" I complained.

"Hah, no he's mine baby! You got Marc."

I eyed her and shrugged. We walked into the media room, opening the door, leaving it open, as we were going to have to put our makeup back.

I walked over to Bugsy, and leaned over carefully, putting blue on one eye and purple on the other, and then big pink circles. He didn’t move once, he was out cold.

Kallie and I were laughing under our breath when we looked at each other, so we had to look away, we were laughing too hard.

Next up was Kris. I rubbed the brush on his eye, blue was the color. He flinched and I stopped. He said something in his sleep and rubbed his nose. I bit my tongue.

Don’t laugh. Don’t laugh! I also put pink circles on his cheeks.

“Who have you done?” I whispered to Kallie who was passing me.

“Jordan and Sidney. You?”

“Kris and Bugsy. Wait, Kals, we shouldn’t put any makeup on Max, frame him, ya now?” Kallie and I giggled and agreed. I skipped Max and went on to Ryan. I did blue and purple like me, and then once again, big round pink circles on his cheeks. It really made him look like a possessed.

My heart was racing. Evgeni was up next. But I really had no reason to be nervous. I didn't have feelings for Evgeni, that much I knew... Or at least I think I knew.

I walked over to him, getting down on my knees. I thought for a second and then decided to draw pink hearts with blush on his cheeks. I then put purple eye shadow on his eye lids. I stepped away laughing. Something grabbed my leg. Oh my god. I looked down, Evgeni had his hand around my ankle. Crap. I looked over to see his was still sleeping. Thank god!

“Kals, grab my phone.” I whispered. She walked over to my pillow and grabbed my cell phone. She handed it to me and I took pictures of everyone. Trying to laugh to loud.

Kallie and I put the makeup in the bathroom downstairs, and went back to our spots falling asleep...

- - - -

“WHAT THE!”

I opened my eyes.

“What are you guys yelling about?” I asked, lazily stretching.

I saw Sidney pointing at Evgeni and the rest of the guys laughing. I bust out laughing and started rolling on the floor.

Oh man was this a good prank!

“Hey, you guys, you all got makeup on your faces too!” I said, laughing some more. Kallie and I smirked at each other as the guys freaked out. Sidney was trying to rub it off of his face.

“Hey, Sid I think you look pretty in makeup!” I said, patting his leg. (He was now standing above me, I was still on the ground.)

“Ahh, thanks, I guess?”

“I don’t think your supposed to say thanks to that man!” Kris said laughing his ass off. I looked around, Max was still asleep.

“Woah, look guys, Max doesn’t have any makeup on!” I shouted, bringing Max to their attention. All the boys scrambled around me.

“He’s still asleep!” someone called.

“That means that he was up all night doing this to us!”

Priceless.

“Okay move it. I’m going to go cook us some breakfast.”

I got up and Kallie followed me out of the room. I could hear the boys attacking Max with pillows.

“What are you talking about?!” he cried.

Once in the kitchen we busted out laughing.

[monday night]

“Yes for the hundredth time Kallie, you look fine!” I cried. Oh god was this girl annoying me tonight.

Tonight was the night that she was going to go on a date with Kristopher Letang. I don't think that he liked her, not like that. But Krisy was a nice guy and said yes to Kals request for a date.

“God, why are you so jumpy?” she asked, globbing more lip gloss on to her lips.

“I’m not, just really tired, that meeting lasted a long time last night.”

I was referring to the Easton meeting I actually attended with Alex Burke. It was fun, but super long, and I had been gone from 3 pm till 11 at night.

“Yeah but it’s been like twenty four hours Trist.”

“Whatever, I’m still tired.”

The doorbell rang downstairs.

“Your dates here.”

“Yay!” she cried.

I rolled my eyes and walked downstairs. Kallie was doing some last minute touch ups. I opened the door to see Kris and Marc talking quietly. Kris, Bugsy and Max haven’t left since like a week. Minus the fact that Kris had to go home to change into his dresser clothes.

Marc had stayed awhile too. It's not like anything has really happened with him and me. And I'm starting to wonder what's wrong.

“Hey Marc,” I said, standing in the doorway.

“Hey, I brought you flowers,” he told me, kissing my cheek and handing me a beautiful bouquet. I raised an eyebrow.

“Thanks! You are so thoughtful!" I said happily, kissing Marc-Andre on the cheek. "So Kris did you bring flowers for Kallie?"

“I brought her a rose.” he mumbled, looking at his feet.

I kind of felt bad for the boy. Okay, so Kals was just a little freaky about him, doesn't mean he have to be so... depressed.

“Thanks Marc, I’ll put them in my room," I leaned in kissing his cheek once more. He smiled and held me in his chest. I broke away, and kissed Kristopher on the cheek. A smile lit on his face and he held me in a hug.

“Hi Kris.”

I whipped around,“Kallie! It’s Kris?!” I cried, jumping away from him.

“I see that. Who brought you the flowers?”

“Marc did! He went to the store for food, and brought me back flowers, isn’t he cute?” I said hugging him, as he laughed at me.

“Err, sure. Wait when did he go to the store?” Kallie asked.

“When you were upstairs, for live twenty hours. You wouldn’t have known if I flew to Russia and back," Marc muttered.

“I love Russia!” I said excitedly, looking over to see Evgeni in the kitchen, smirking at me, well until I looked at him, then he looked away and engaged in a conversation with Staalsy. Kris was now kind of glaring at Kallie. Although she didn;t notice because she said “Kris are you ready to go?”

“Yeah, I brought you a ros,e” he held out a red rose.

“Thanks!” she gave Kris a hug.

“Tristan, will you out this is in the kitchen?” she handed it to me.

"Sure, have fun.” with that I slammed the door in their faces.

“Oh, evil.” Sidney smirked as I turned around to face him.

“Whatever.” Marc followed me into the kitchen, he held the flowers as I got out a vase, I had brought from home. It was my mom’s grandma’s vase. It was given to my great-grandmother when she was born. The vase was glass, with flowers carved in it. It was beautiful. My grandma gave it to me when I was born. I filled it up with water. Putting my flowers in it.

“What are you going to do with the rose?” Marc asked, twirling it in his fingers, smiling up at me with his heart shaped lips. I wanted to melt.

I grabbed a Mickey Mouse cup and filled it up, putting the flower in it.

"Tristan, is she annoying you?" Sidney asked, as I grabbed the vase.

“Hold that thought.” I ran upstairs and put the vase on my dresser, then ran back down.

I entered the kitchen to see that Marc was sitting on the counter by himself in the kitchen, trying to peel an orange. I couldn't help but smile, how could you not smile at that boy?

He looked up and his brown hair feel in his eyes.

"Babe, come over here," Marc whispered putting the orange down to have his full attention on me.

I skipped over, and he pulled me so I was inbetween his legs.

Without warning, Marc pushed his lips hard against mine. I never thought that Marc-Andre could be that forceful, but I guess I was wrong.

And to tell the truth, I kind of liked it. I pushed Marc closer to my body and tangled my hands in his hair. I felt the boy smirk against my lips. His tounge ran across my lower lip and I gladly let him in. I pulled away just to look in his beautiful eyes.

"Tristan..." he trailed off, smiling and starting to kiss my neck.

------> geno ------>

I walked into the kitchen hoping to get away from Marc and Tristan. It seemed like every corner I turned, there they were. I couldn't stand it anymore. I needed to get some water and think.

Once I rounded the corner I regretted it.

There she was, the girl, I was possibly in love with, kissing my goalie. I sighed. Not wanting to disturb them and walked away, head down and ran to my room.

- - - -

The doorbell rang. I ran to get it. It was eleven, Kallie and Kris had been gone three hours. I swung open the door.

“I love the Penguins,” Kallie sighed, laughing.

I wrinkled my nose. “No you don’t.” I said stepping aside, letting her in and shutting the door.

“Yes, they’re my favorite team.”

“Kallie, no they’re not! You hate them, remember? Your favorite team is Chicago Blackhawks, and it has been forever!” I cried.

“Not anymore.” I rolled my eyes.

I can’t wait till she goes home.

Kris walked in, looking wiped. Marc smiled at Kallie and she smiled sugestivly back. I couldn't help but think what was going on.

Marc looked up at me and looked a little sad.

What?

[Penguins Practice Wednesday]

I sat in the locker room after practice, slipping on my bright green crocks, smiling at Sidney, who was slipping on his too. I had just bought them at the mall for him, so we could be twins

“Marc, who are you texting?” I asked, laughing and grabbing my stick, I was going to go and shoot pucks on the ice.

After getting on the ice, I couldn't help but wonder why Marc's face was always staring at his phone, it seemed to be like that for a while, and I coudln't help but get somewhat suspicious. These past couple days with Marc have been great. But there is just something I feel that is off about him.

And to make matters worse. Evgeni is flirting with me nonstop. And now I have to wonder. Who do I like?

I shot a puck into the net, it felt good to be out on the cold ice.

"Tristan?"

I looked up and smiled as I saw Marc come out into the ice.

"Hey!" I slid over to him.

"I think you should know," he whispered. My stomach felt my stomach dropped. "I was texting Kallie."

I couldn't believe my ears. How did he get her number?

"Excuse me?"

"I just-"

"Fleury! I can't believe you. So you kiss me but text my best friend behind my back?" I gawked at him, stepping back, his face fell.

"Wait Tristan-"

"Marc, I honestly thought that you were different. But I guess I was wrong. So let's just be friends. If I can even agree to be that with you."

To say the least, Marc looked hurt.

He shook his head yes in understanding and walked back through the runway.

I grabbed the bucket of pucks and dumped them on the ice at the hash marks. I started shooting, playing posts wth myself. (Were you hit the right and left post, crossbar and middle in under 10 shots.)

I thought that I was going to explode. What the hell? Okay, that girl was not the Kallie I know. My best friend wouldn't act like that. And Marc. I can't believe I actually fell for all this.

“Five,” I whispered, stepping back, I had hit all four posts.

“Wow that pretty good.”

I jumped, turning around.

“Ev, don’t scare me like that,” I said, flipping a puck onto my stick. I haven’t called him that in a while.

I looked away, not wanting him to see my face, it was red, I had gotten myself worked up.

Little did I know that Evgeni had heard Marc's and my whole conversation. And now he smirked smugly at me.

“I like your necklace," he said, sliding closer to me on the ice. I looked down. The necklace was dangling on my neck. I haven’t taken it off, I wouldn’t until I figured out who it was.

“Thanks. It was given to me in the closet. But I still don’t know who it was, no one will tell me.”

“Oh, that sucks I’m sorry.”

Hmm, he’s being nice, maybe he’s finally over his little fit. I looked Evgeni up and down, he was wearing a black Penguins t-shirt like me, and shorts. He was holding his stick. And he was looking as good as ever. We both stood there checking each other out. I wasn’t complaining, I liked the view.

I felt so horrible.

Maybe I was glad not to have gone further with Marc. Because, if you asked me right now who I had feelings for.

I was leaning towards the Russian at center ice.

I smirked, noticing he couldn’t take his eyes off of me.

“Mind if I shoot with you?”

“No, I don’t.”

“Good.” we split the pucks up.

“Posts?” he asked, a goofy grin on his face.

“Yeah.”

“Girls first.”

“Ooh, your such a gentleman.”

“Hey!” he pushed me a little. I took a shot, hitting the boards behind the net.

“Your turn.” I watched Evgeni, shoot the puck. I saw something glimmer on his wrist.

Is that my bracelet? I couldn’t find it after the party, is that where it went?

I walked over to Evgeni grabbing his wrist.

“Hey, what are you doing?”

“Is that my bracelet?” I examined his wrist. Sure enough it was.

“I don’t know, but it’s mine now.”

“That’s mine Evgeni!” I said, my blood was boiling.

Wow, way to be a thief. Has he stolen any more of my things?

Yeah, like your heart Tristan!

I shook the thought from my head.

“No it’s on my wrist!” he replied, jerking his hand away. I grabbed it again.

“So what just because I’m wearing this necklace doesn’t mean that it’s mine!”

“Well obviously the person wanted you to have it!”

“Yeah, but I didn’t give you that, now give it back!”

“Well that’s not fair, you have something of mine, and I don’t get something in return?”

I let go of his wrist, staring at him for a moment.

“What are you talking about I don’t have anything of yours-”

“Tristan Evgeni!” Kris' voice made it my ears.

I turned around, he was running on the ice, a girl behind him.

“Hey.”

I ran toward Kristopher, but not before glaring at Evgeni.

“Hey Evgeni stole something of mine- who’s that?”

“Oh! I want you to met someone!” he said happily.

“Oh yeah?”

“This is my little sister.”

“Hi, I’m Tristan Davis.” I said. shaking the girls hand. She was a little shorter than me, with almost black hair and awesome red bangs.

“I love you bangs,” I complemented happily, seeing out of the corner of my eye Evgeni was walking away shaking his head.

"Your going down, stealing my bracelet!" I shouted quickly as he flipped me off, smiled and disappeared.

“Oh thanks! I’m Tori Jane," she said, grabbing my attention once more.

“At least your parents had one good looking kid, eh Kris?” I laughed, and he hit me.

“So how old are you Tori?”

Hey, she looks super familiar.

“19!”

“Sweet! I’m 17.”

Her mouth was hanging open.

“Wow, your 17? Do you live by yourself? You play for the Penguins, am I right? Kris talks about you all the time!” she smiled and Kris hit her.

“Yeah, I play for the Penguins. And no, I live with Sidney Crosby, Jordan Staal and Evgeni Malkin. And basically your brother too. He’s always over there.” we all laughed.

“You know you, look really familiar.”
