Shattered In Pieces

"Jill!" I growled. "I'm not playing any more of these games! I'm going home!" I snapped. Angrily, I hurried out of her room. Her mom gave me an odd look as I walked by, but I ignored it. I needed to get out f here! I got in my car, speeding to my house. I couldn’t do this anymore. I love her but I can't play these games anymore.

I drove to school, worried about her being there. Would I chicken out? Walking into school I was jumped on as Jill hugged me tightly. She kissed me gently, smiling. I set her on her feet, sighing.

"Baby, I have to tell you something." I sighed.

"What's wrong?" she asked worriedly. Just say it!

"Jill...I'm breaking up with you. I can't...do this anymore..."

"Wh-..." her voice trailed off and her eyes filled with tears."B-but..."

"I'm sorry...I just can't do this anymore..."

"But... I... I love you..."

"Jill, I'm sorry. It's over..."

"S-so y-you lied to me...." she started to cry.

"Please don’t cry...how did I lie to you?"

"What do you expect!? The guy I love is breaking up with me! I thought he loved me too!"

"I love you too! But I can't do this!"

"You don’t! You would help me if you did..."

"Hear me out! I love you, but I can't do this! This affects me too!"

"R-right...whatever Jimmy... you're baking out when I need you most."

"I'm sorry, Jill." I sighed, turning to walk away.

"Fuck you, Jimmy." She cried, storming away in the other direction. I sighed, running my fingers through my hair. It's for the best.

"Dude, what was that about?" Johnny asked, walking up to me.

"I can't do this anymore, so I stopped it."

"But you loved her, dude! Truth be told, I always looked up to you relationship wise..."

"...why?"

"Look how long you've been together! And you just end it?"

"I. Can't. Do. This. Any. More!"

"You can't do what?!"

"This fucking game of a relationship!"

"I don’t understand, dude. Just talk to her about it."

"She won't talk to me. All she wants is sex!"

"That's not true! Look beyond the sex!"

"Dude! I think I would know her a little better than you! All she wants is sex!"

"I think there's something else! Something she's not telling you!"
