She's A Rebel.

Chapter Eleven

It has been three weeks since Billie and I had our talk in my car. The growing sexual tension between us is practically unbearable, so we're been trying to avoid spending time alone together. We can still hangout in a group though.

During these past few weeks, we've gotten ready for the tour and Melanie FINALLY broke up with her waste-of-space boyfriend. They had this super hilarious argument after she said its over and I couldn't help but video tape it. Then, we all went to Tre's house and watched it on his flat screen TV with some popcorn and Pepsi. It was a good time.

The first show of the tour is tonight and I'm super nervous. I'll be playing in front of thousands of people and I've been praying to every deity I can think of not to let me mess up on stage.

"Yo, Erika, we're heading to the venue now." Matt said and I yelled back at him that I would be there in a minute. We were traveling to Anaheim for the first show. I grabbed my last bag and brought it onto the tour bus. The bus was pretty nice; it had a TV, a bunk for each of us, a kitchenette, a table, a sitting area, an x-box, a stereo and a small bathroom with an even smaller shower.

I walked down the narrow hallway and put my stuff away. Then, I rested in my bunk and listened to music until we were almost at the venue. When we were about twenty minutes away, I changed into my gig outfit.

When the bus driver parked the bus, all four of us got off and stretched our legs. Green Day's bus was parked in front of ours and once we were outside, they stepped off their bus too. Tre came running at us screaming "ARE YOU EXCITED?!" like a raving lunatic. His hyperness made us laugh as he embraced each of us in a warm hug.

"Hell yeah, we're all excited!" Matt yelled.

"Yayyyyyy!" Tre yelled back and started dancing.

"Come on, we gotta do sound check." Mike said and grabbed Tre by the arm, leading him away from us and into the building. My band followed with me slightly behind them. Billie walked up to me and smiled.

"Hey, Erika. You look amazing." He said, standing in front of me so I had to stop walking. He opened his arms for a hug and I gladly obliged, holding onto his lean frame tightly.

"Hey, Billie. And thank you." I said, still not letting go. His arms were around my waist, his face buried in my shoulder, not letting me pull away. This was one of the rare moments our 'just friends' agreement slipped a little.

"Are you scared?" He asked me, as he pulled away just enough to look at my face.

"I'm petrified." I said.

"Don't worry. You'll be amazing. Once you get out there, you'll rock your heart out and everyone there will love you." He smiled and I couldn't help but smile back. "Here's something for good luck." He said as he reached into his pocket. He pulled his hand out in a fist and then opened his hand in front of me. Laying in his palm, were three Green Day guitar picks. My smile widened as I picked them up out of his hand.

"Thank you!" I said and kissed his lips quickly before I could stop myself. Billie leaned forward to kiss me again, but I put my index finger to his lips, stopping him. "We talked about this." I said.

"I know. I'm sorry." He sighed.

"Don't be, its my fault. I wasn't thinking." I said. "But really, thank you so much. This means a lot to me."

"I'm glad." He smiled adorably.

"Let's go. We have a sound check to do." I said and we walked inside the venue.

Some roadie was taking my guitar out of its case and I ran over. "I got it." I said to him and took my guitar. I tuned it and played a few riffs. Then, I gave it back to the roadie who went to set the stage up. I walked into the room where the guys were and sat on the couch. Matt was doing vocal warm ups, Mel was texting and Jake was bouncing in his seat. I decided to stretch out my muscles a little so I didn't end up getting a cramp or pull something during my performance.

As I was sitting on the floor and stretching out my leg, the wonderful men of Green Day dropped by. They had each changed into their gig outfits and gotten their hair and make up perfected. Hello's were exchanged and they made themselves comfortable.

"Aren't you worried someone will see up your skirt?" Tre asked me as he sat on the couch.

"Huh?" I asked. "Oh, no. I'm wearing really short shorts under it."

"Ohh. That makes sense." He said.

I got up and reached for a water bottle that was in a bucket filled with ice in the middle of the room. After drinking a few sips, I sat down on the couch in between Mel and Mike. We all talked for a few minutes about our set lists and thing of that nature. Then, my band went out on stage to take a look at where everything was and check out the venue. The place looked so empty with all the seats unfilled and the general admission area without its usual moshing teenagers. I checked to make sure my guitar was plugged in correctly. It was. After we knew everything was fine, we stepped off stage and went back into the room.

"Hey, guys, wanna see something cool?" Mike asked.

"Sure." Matt said and Mike smiled, leading us to a window.

"Check it out." He said. Outside, there was a massive line of people waiting to get inside. They were dressed in Green Day shirts and had on huge smiles; the anticipation of the amazing night ahead of them clearly on their minds.

"Wow." I said, breathlessly. Just as the words escaped my lips, the group of people started running towards the doors to get inside. A fat guy wearing a black t-shirt and camo shorts with a walkie talkie strapped to his waistband came up to us.

"Holiday Hangover is on in twenty." He said and then walked away, speaking into his walkie talkie.

"Wanna play a quick game of cards before the show?" Mike asked and we agreed. We played one round of cards and I drank a beer and a half to calm my nerves a little.

"Hey, you guys are on in five." The same fat guy told us and then walked off again. The members of Green Day left us to mentally prepare for what was to come.

"Guys, come here." Matt said and we all stood in a circle, holding hands. "We've gone through so much together over the past twelve years. We've worked so hard to get where we are today and I'd like to say that none of this would've been possible if it weren't for the dedication and love that we put into this band. You guys are my family, whether by blood or by bond and no matter what happens in the future, I'll always be thankful for you." As he was talking, I almost started to cry. "Now, let's go out there and kick some ass!" He yelled and we all cheered.

"Thirty seconds!" That fat guy yelled at us.

We hugged each other briefly before we ran out on stage and grabbed our instruments. I had one of the guitar picks Billie gave me in my hand, the rest were stored in my bra. Its a pretty handy place to put things when you don't have pockets.

As soon as we stepped out, people started cheering. It wasn't that deafening screaming that Green Day gets, but it still made me smile. We immediately launched into one of our more hardcore songs to get the crowd's blood pumping and their bodies moving. I was afraid that I was gonna get nervous and screw up, but as soon as I started playing, it was like the whole world fell away and it was just me and my guitar. That familiar adrenaline coursed through my veins, making me jump around and have a blast.

After we finished the first song, Matt introduced us. He asked if anyone had ever heard of us or heard our music before and about thirty or forty people screamed and raised their hands. Matt then said a funny joke that led into our next song. There was one girl who had a sign that said "Matt, will you marry me?" and I couldn't help but laugh. I recognized her from some of our other shows that we've played around here.

We played for another half an hour. The crowd seemed really into our music which made playing for them a lot more fun. When we were finished, Matt asked the crowd if they were excited for Green Day. They all exploded into cheers of excitement and I looked off the stage to where Billie was standing with his arms crossed, smiling at me. He winked and my smile grew.

Matt said goodbye to the crowd and we all waved at them before exiting the stage. Billie picked me up in a hug.

"You did amazing!" Then he looked at my band mates. "You all did. I'm so happy we picked you guys to open for us." He said and he put me down.

Three hours later, Green Day finished their mind-blowing performance. We decided a proper celebration was in order. Since our next gig wasn't for a few days, and we were staying in a hotel, we dropped our stuff off first and then went to a club.

Once at the club, I grabbed Melanie and we started dancing. The music was pretty good. Jake came up to us and asked us if we wanted any drinks.

"Something strong!" I yelled over the loud music and he nodded, heading towards the bar. We continued to dance and I saw Matt, Billie, Mike and Tre sitting at a table. Jake came over to us with our drinks is his hand.

"Come over by the table!" He yelled so his voice wouldn't be drowned out by the music. We nodded and made our way over. There were more alcoholic drinks for everyone and I was glad for that because I had already downed the one Jake got for me. I grabbed a shot of something and drank it before I sat down.

"You guys did amazing." Mike said. "How was playing in front of that many people?"

"Terrifying. But at the same time, really fun." I said and my band mates agreed.

"The crowd loved you. I think we should increase the time of your set." Billie said.

"YEAH, THAT'S A GREAT IDEA!" Tre screamed at the top of his lungs and when we all gave him a weird look, he sank back in his seat and pointed at Mike. "He did it." We cracked up at his weirdness.

"Who wants to do tequila shots?!" Melanie asked after our laughter had died down. Everyone thought it was a good idea, so they ordered a bottle and seven shot glasses with lemon slices and salt.

"I don't know if I should.." I said, staring at the shot glass filled with Jose Cuervo. When I drink tequila, I act kind of slutty and sometimes my clothes start to disappear.

"Oh, come on, Erika. Lighten up a bit. Have some fun." Matt said.

"Do I need to remind you of your mom's Christmas party two years ago?" I asked and Matt and Jake started cracking up.

"What happened?" Billie asked.

"Well, you see, our good friend Erika here-" I covered his mouth with my hand before he could continue. No one needed to hear the story about me running through Jake and Matt's parent's house in my underwear belting out Christmas songs with a bottle of Jose in my hand.

"We do not speak of that night." I glared and they just started laughing again, no doubt because of the mental image their memories have provided them with.

"We'll make you stop before you do anything too crazy. Just drink up and have some fun." Mel said.

"Peeeeer pressureeee." Tre said in a sing-song voice.

"Fine." I said and my night of heavy drinking and bad decisions officially began.

Forty minutes and many shots of tequila later, I was dancing with Melanie again, only this time, slightly more whore-ish. A bunch of guys had sort of crowded around the two of us and were watching with their jaws dropped, looking like they've never seen two girls grind before. Just to see what they would do, I kissed her for a few seconds and I heard a bunch of masculine cheers.

Men. I thought while rolling my eyes.

Then, these two guys tried to nonchalantly start dancing behind us so they could cop a feel. The tequila was making me think letting them was a good idea, but as soon as my eyes met with a familiar pair of green ones across the room, I lost my train of thought. I stepped away from Melanie and the two perverts and walked over to where the most beautiful man in the room was standing with a beer in his hand.

"Hey, babe." I said, putting on a sexy smile.

"Hey, Erika." He smiled and I grabbed him by his red tie.

"Dance with me." I said, pulling him along.

We found a dark corner to dance in because we didn't want to draw too much attention to ourselves. In the cover of the darkness, Billie's hands attached themselves to my hips as we moved to the music. There was barely any space between our bodies. I turned around so my back was up against his chest. His hands stayed on my hips as he kissed my neck softly. My eyes fluttered closed as I enjoyed the attention I was getting from him. Not able to take it any longer, I turned around in his arms and pulled his face down to my own in a passionate kiss. Our lips moved perfectly in sync and I never wanted it to end.

I soon found myself being pushed up against a wall by Billie Joe, his lips never leaving mine. My hands ran up and down his chest while his wound themselves into my hair. I tugged on his bottom lip with my teeth and he moaned into my mouth. I took advantage of that and slipped my tongue into his mouth. Billie started grinding his hips into mine and the room seemed to get a million degrees hotter. Billie broke the kiss so we could catch our breath, but only for a second because he then attached his lips to my neck where he sucked and bit at my sensitive skin. I sighed contentedly and ran my fingers through his attractively unkempt hair. I started to unbutton his shirt, not caring where we were or who might be watching. Billie chuckled lowly and brought his lips up to my ear.

"Do you wanna go someplace else?" He asked huskily, his warm breath caressing my face, sending shivers down my spine. I nodded repeatedly with a sexy smile on my face. I grabbed his hand and led him outside where we got into a taxi and drove to a more private place to continue our fun.
