It just ain't living

Sienna awoke the next morning to aroma of cooked bacon and eggs, getting out of bed she placed her robe on and walked downstairs to where she saw her father cooking and singing along to the local church radio station Star 99.1

“Morning Daddy” Sienna said quietly

She didnt want to be angry at her father anymore they had always had a close bond and she didnt want a silly argument to ruin that, she hoped her father had just over reacted.

“Daddy I’m sorry about yesterday...the things I said I didnt mean it and I’m sorry”
“That’s ok...I just worry about you Sienna I want you to have the best possible life and interacting with a musician...what type of life can this boy possibly give you?”
“Daddy I’m not even thinking of marriage..That’s just funny” Sienna said with a giggle
“Sienna” Sienna’s father Phillip said snapping “This isn’t a laughing matter...I want you to respect my wishes and NO longer see that boy...you don’t need to be bought in to that life”
“Daddy That’s just silly...do you not trust me, I have always made the right decisions done what you asked...so all I’m asking is that you let me do this please, I know I wont get hurt” Sienna said trying to reason with her father
“Enough has been said I want you to listen to what I have said...now eat up and get changed I need you to help down at the church today”

Sienna begrudgingly listened to her father as she knew it wasnt worth arguing over as once her father’s mind was made up that was it, so for now she would help at United Christian Church in Newark but before going there she wanted to go and see Mikey.

Over at the Way residence where Mikey was currently residing, Mikey was talking to Gerard about Sienna

“She’s wonderful” he gushed “She actually likes me and wants to see more of me, Sienna is so different from other girls I have met she wants to get to know me more and doesn’t care that I’m in a band...though her father doesn’t want her to see me thinks I’m going to be a bad influence on her” Mikey said as he continued to explain everything to Gerard
“What the FUCK? You’re a bad influence...That’s just weird man, tread carefully lil bro” Gerard replied
“I’ll be fine...we still are going to see each other” Mikey said with a smile

Before long Gerard heard the doorbell ring so got up and answered “Hello” he said looking at the figure standing on his front step

“Hi Gerard...I was wondering if Mikey was home?” Sienna replied
“Sure is...Come on in”
Sienna followed Gerard in to the lounge where Mikey was now playing video games.
“Yo lazy ass there is someone here to see you “Gerard said yelling in Mikey’s ear
“Fuck you”Mikey replied
“Fuck yourself” Gerard said back
“Go fuck a cow!”
“Go fuck a toaster and turn it on!”
“ Go fuck you mom!”
“She's your mom too, dumbass!” Gerard replied

(I had to put this quote in..it fitted with the story perfectly)

Sienna just stood there laughing she could see that they were definitely brothers and they were so amusing to her, Mikey finally turned around and saw that Sienna was there he walked over to her whisked her into arms and kissed her softly on the lips, Gerard stuck his finger up at his brother, Mikey done the same back.

“What are you doing here?” Mikey asked
“Well I’m on my way to church...I’m helping there today and I thought seeing you were on my way I’d pop in and say hi” Sienna said with a smile “Was that ok?”
“Yeh that’s ok...of course it is...Did you wanna do something tonight?...like go in to New York for dinner?”Mikey asked
“Yeh I would...that would be really nice”
Sienna stood there still talking to Mikey when all of a sudden she felt arms around her waist and she was being lifted in the air
“What the fuck?”she screamed
“Hey there princess” Frank said with a big smile
“Put me down” Sienna yelled
“Not until you say something to me”
“What”
“Thank you Frank for setting me up with Mikey I’m always going to be in your debt” Frank said laughing
“haha Frank, now put me down”
Frank put Sienna down and wandered over to Mikey “ Has goldfinger ever seen any mooses?”
Mikey replied laughing at Frank “ that’s not the plural of moose its moosi!”
“Fuck off it’s Meese” Gerard said
“Has goldfinger ever seen a flock of meese advancing on him? It’s a terrifying sight. They aren’t small creatures, you would run off like a girl or a boy. What does running like a girl mean?” Frank said looking directly at Sienna
Sienna was just standing there laughing, she couldn’t believe the random things that were coming out of Frank’s mouth “Um it means basically if you’re a male and you’re a chicken, like you... um... are scared, coz they say men are stronger then women”
“oh...so what are we doing today?" Frank said changing the subject

No one new what to do so they were all talking, asking Sienna questions as Sienna started to ask them questions, with out realising the time a couple of hours had passed and Sienna’s father was getting angry he knew where his daughter had gone and he couldn’t believe she had gone against him.

Finally checking the time Sienna started to get worried she looked at Mikey “I gotta go...I cant believe I’ve been here soo long, My father is going to kill me...I was meant to help down at the church”
“Sienna don’t stress...I’m sure he wont mind, tell him you got caught u with friends” Mikey replied
“The only friends I have are from church...and they would have been there, God damm it” Sienna sighed
“It will be fine” Mikey said trying to be reassuring
walking Sienna to her car he tried to kiss her but she backed back “Not here Mikey please...I’ll call you later about tonight ok?”
“Ok”

With that Sienna drove to the church and getting herself ready to hear her Father’s wrath, Seeing her father she bowed her head so as not to make eye contact, she knew her father wouldn’t make a scene but yet she was still scared “Sienna get home immediately...I will talk to you then”

“Yes father” Sienna said quietly and drove back home, on the way home she started to think I’m 23...I’m not a child anymore so why is he treating me like one...I’m going to stand up to him...I don’t care I am strong I can do this

Getting home, she didnt have to wait long for her father to arrive, standing in the kitchen she waited for her father to start yelling at her but yet he didnt
“Sienna you have disappointed me...I thought you would respect what I had to say”
“Daddy I ....” Phillip cut her off “Don’t interrupt me Sienna I haven’t finished...if you want to see that boy go ahead but he will not be welcomed in this house, if you want my approval...bring him to church tomorrow, I want to no his intentions in the house of god” Phillip replied

Sienna didnt know what to say she just stood there quietly, after her father had finished ranting she went upstairs to her room where she looked at her to do list, ever since she had gotten cancer she had written a to do list so that if she survived she could cross one off one by one.

On the other side of Belleville Mikey was waiting impatiently for Sienna’s phone call he hoped she was ok...his anxiety was starting to kick in, he didnt want this to come out he had over come it and he needed to be in control.
