I Don't Dance
Zack’s POV
Across the bar Zack Merrick sat down with his band mates sitting down there beers
“Who was that?” Alex asked me clearly checking out the girl I was just talking to
“Im not sure” I replied truthfully but I was sure, no more than sure, that I had seen her while we were playing my eyes just wondered upon her and got stuck there I let out a sigh as I realised I didn’t even ask her name
“Far out Zack go ask her, and her friend over here” Jack said with a wide grin
I shook my head but got up anyway taking back the seat to her left.
Abigail’s POV
I was a bit startled when I felt a tap on my shoulder and even more startled when I turned around and realised it was Zack.
“Sorry to interrupt you but me and the guys were wondering if you and your friend wanted to come and join us?” he seemed slightly nervous and sum what embarrassed as he was rubbing the back of his neck
“Ummm yea for sure” I smiled at him turning to Katy and raising my eye brows slightly and she bounced off her stool and the two of us following Zack over where I took a seat next to him and Katy took one on the opposite side next to Jack.
“Alex Gaskarth” he quickly introduced taking each of our hands and placing a kiss on them
“Jack” Jack yelled over the music just as it seemed to die out where it just seemed like he was shouting and I couldn’t help but let out a laugh
“Rian Dawson” Rian introduced putting down his beer and giving a wave
“Im Abigail Ward and this is my friend Katy Everdean” I introduced and they all had smiles spread across their cheeky faces.
“Ok question… why are you guys here shouldn’t you be at ‘Crush’ like around the block meeting all your fans?” I asked
“Yea well you see ‘Crush’ is under 18s and as much as we love our fans the 15 year old girls”
“And guys” Jack intervened
“Well they get a bit overbearing at times” Zack finished
“Yea and I don’t really like the whole underage thing, it’s really no fun” Alex said taking another sip of his beer
“Hey you two are legal aren’t you” Rian piped up
“Yes Rian im 21…how do you think we got in here?” I asked
“Well I mean have either of yous looked in the mirror the bouncer isn’t going to say no to two girls like you” Jack seemed to question us and I think I managed to shake my head, laugh and blush all at the same time and I know Katy definitely blushed
“What about you Miss. Katy are you old enough to be here?” Jack asked with a smirk on his face
“Yes Jacky” she smiled
“Ok I get an new nickname…ok sorry I got kind of distracted with that I was gonna say that, that’s good coz I wanna dance with you” he go up pushing her out of the booth really not giving her a choice but I knew she loved it.
The rest of us sat around for a while talking about the most random of things also watching Katy and Jack dance they looked extremely funny but made a cute couple none the less.
“Do you want another drink?” Zack asked me
“Yea I’ll come with you”
Once over at the bar again we asked for our drinks and took a seat waiting for them
“I swear I saw you at the concert” Zack started and I realised I hadn’t been dreaming
“I swear you were staring at me for like 75% of the time” I said quietly but he still heard me
“Im sorry I don’t really know something just dragged me to look at you and then I couldn’t pull away” he tried defending himself when it really wasn’t necessary
“Don’t apologies Zack” I said shaking my head by this time we had received our drinks and were headed back to the table where Alex and Rian waited.
“What you go buy gorgeous girls drinks but not you mates who you have since forever” Alex had a look of mock horror on his face and I couldn’t help but laugh
“Fine” Zack groaned about to turn around and get this friends a drink before I grabbed his hand
“Nope sorry boys I want to dance, your drinks will have to wait” I laughed as did the two boys while Zack stood still not letting me drag him over to where Katy and Jack already were.
“I don’t dance” Zack said like it was the most obvious thing in the world
“Well you do now, come on Zack it’s not going to kill you”
“But what it’s going to kill you if I don’t” he laughed
“Yes” I stated overdramatically with my hand on my heart and he let a smile slip “Come on” I laughed and he finally let me drag him onto the dance floor.
I didn’t really understand why Zack never danced I mean it wasn’t like he was uncoordinated or anything we moved in time to the beat and in time to each other almost dancing in sync finding ourselves staring at each other before realizing and giving off a slight chuckle to each other.
“See this isn’t so bad is it?” I questioned him after a while with a huge smile on my face
“Yes it is, it’s going to kill me” he smirked as he spoke into my ear and a shiver ran down my spine
“Come on then” I said grabbing his hand and heading back to the table where everyone was once again seated
“Oh my god the boy can dance” Jack laughed as we sat down next to each other
“So what have you like never danced before” I asked shocked
“Nope” he replied
“Abigail you must be special because I cannot tell you how many girls I have seen try and drag this boy on the dance floor and not once has he moved even a centimeter, so for him to actually get into it is a big thing” Alex winked at me even though he was dead serious
I looked at Zach as if to say what the hell but his only reply was
“I so did not get into that” and everyone laughed
“Yea you kinda did” Rian replied “and I don’t lie”
