Leaving
Jack dropped me off at my house after our walk and hang out session, when I walked into our house mom was just getting out of the living room,
"Hey Megan," She greeted "Could you go upstairs and tell Jonathan to pack up the stuff in his closet same goes for you, I already got most your stuff and were leaving around 8 am tomorrow."
"Sure, mom." I replied
I went upstairs and as I made my way down the hall and I heard Cat and Mouse by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus blasting from inside... Aren't we a depressed 15 year old boy wait.. Who wouldn't be if they had to move 1 million miles away from where you grew up?
"Jon!!" I yelled as I was furiously knocking on his door "Dude, open the door!"
"What?! its only 7:23 I doubt people are sleeping." He said as I walked in and sat on his bed
"No reason.." I said while bouncing on the mattress "What do you think about moving?" I added
"I think it sucks cow nipples.." He said
"Can't argue with you there brotha!" I said while I stood up I stopped at the threshold of the door and turned around "I forgot to tell you Mom said to pack up, she already got most of our stuff so all we have to pack is the things left in our closets, and that we leave at 8 am tomorrow." I heard him groan then I went back to my room.
I turned on my speakers and connected my iPod and put it on shuffle "She's fresh to death; she'll be the death of you seduction leads to destruction" I freakin' love this song and at a time like this helps my mood so I danced around while getting clothes from the closet and putting it in my blue and black duffel on top of my bed when I finished, I grabbed some pajamas and changed then I just laid down on my bed looking around my room that held so many memories this place then before I knew it I slowly drifted to sleep while My Beautiful Rescue by This Providence was playing.
NEXT MORNING
"Guys! WAKE UP!!" I heard Dad yell through the megaphone in the hallway I looked to my right 6:13am My digital Sponge Bob clock blinked and all of my stuff was gone except for my nightstand bed and that clock
"Ugh..it is way too early for this." I said as I stood up and went to my bathroom to wash my face and get dressed I rushed so I could go to Jack's before we left
It was chaos downstairs people lugging stuff out of the house then coming back in, not to mention empty... I looked for Mom in this madness of a house.. Then it hit me.. In the kitchen!
So I made my way and saw her sitting at the counter reading a cook book "Hey Mom, can I go to Jack's house real quick before we leave?" I asked
"Huh?..Oh sure Honey, but be back soon its already 7:10" She said.
The walk to Jack's house was the longest one I've ever had, once I got there I ringed the doorbell, hes already up and ready at this time.. Morning person
"Hey Megan..." He said in a sad voice, I wasn't used to this Jack the one I was used to was always happy and smiling and jumping on everyone he sees as a greeting
"Hi Jack" I said as equally sad "Do you wanna come at my house until we leave?" I said
"Okay" he replied
We just sat in my room doing what we always did which was, talked about music, the world, how much we hate school, remembering stuff we did as kids like drown caterpillars and bring them back to life by pumping their little stomachs, some would actually make it.
We were weird children thats all i have to say, after an hour of just talking Mom opened the door "Time to go, Megs"
Me and Jack we're left on the porch "Bye Jack, I'm going to miss you..A lot." I said while hugging him
"You too, Megsy" He said I pulled away and wiped a few tears off my face and walked to the car I stopped before I got in and turned around and took a last look at Jack, I waved and he waved back with a sad smile on his face
"Love you Megs!, Don't trip and fall too much!" He yelled as I was going in
"Sure thing! and try not to get beat up too much! Love you too Jack have a nice life!" I replied then closed the door and I was serious about the beating up part that boy is way to lanky i would miss him so much.
