Don't Forget, We've Got Unfinished Business

When I woke up that morning sunlight was streaming from the window onto my face and I just tucked my head under the pillow and then moments later I heard the door open then I felt someone hovering on top of my head, so when I pulled me head out from under the pillow I was shocked to see Sam and her face was just about 3 inches so I accidentally slapped her face

"Ouch! What the crap was that for?!" Sam screeched as she stood up straight and held her left cheek

"Oh, God! I'm so sorry," I said as I sat up from the floor "Are you ok?"

"Yeah, no biggie, it wasn't really that hard to be honest just scared the hell outta me. I really shouldn't have sneaked up on you like that. Why are you sleeping on the floor?" She replied while sitting down next to me

"Good... Wait a minute, how did you know where I live and I'm sleeping on the floor since our furniture hasn't come yet and what time is it?" I replied rubbing my eyes

"I asked Pixie," She said while smiling "So I could go with you to school on the first day, oh okay then but just a heads up the living room and kitchen all have their furniture back and it's bout 6 AM."

"Thanks, for being nice... Okay well I best be getting a move on." I replied while standing up and going to my luggage pulling out a teal v-neck some gray skinny jeans, a belt and all of my other accessories "What are you gonna do while I get ready?" I asked her

"I'll watch T.V downstairs, now hurry up it's already 6:15 and we gotta get to school. Classes start at 7"

"Okay, okay." I said and went to the bathroom to wash my face, brush my teeth and change. I took my hair out of the bun and it fell on my shoulders, I thought of what to do with it but decided to leave it down it looks more natural and it looked pretty, then I put on some eye make-up and some lip gloss, after I did that I went back to my room got my Alice In Wonderland themed bag and stuffed my lip gloss and phone in along with some of my money, got my teal converse shoes and headed downstairs

"Good morning Meggy!" Mom said as she got a bowl and put some Froot Loops into it then the milk and then took a spoon and shoved it in there

"Morning Mommeh, thank you very much." I said as I took the bowl and went to sit down at the dining table, just as I sat down and took my first bite Sam walked in and sat from across me

"Whatcha doin'?" She asked after watching me eat for about 5 seconds

"What does it look like I'm doing? You watch too much cartoons."

"Jonathan! Get your butt down here and eat!" Mom yelled as she got some orange juice from the fridge and poured some in a cup

"Yeah, yeah I'm coming. Sheesh!" Jon said as he walked in and got a plate and got some waffles Mom made.

"Here," Mom said as she gave him the orange juice then Jon made his way to go sit next to Sam "When you guys get home from school, the furniture will be here."

"Awesomesauce," I said as I chewed the last of the cereal and brought up the bowl to drink the milk "Well, that was good. Hurry up Jon."

"Yeah yeah," he said taking 5 really big bites out of the waffle chewed and swallowed and then chugged his orange juice down "Happy?" He added while swallowing what was left

"Very, now lets get going ya pig! I still have to drop you off at the record store" I said standing up and then walking towards the front door

"Wait," then Jon walked up to my Mom "Mommy, do I really have to ride with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum?" He said pouting like a child, and I rolled my eyes

"Yeah, that's what you get when you steal my car and drive off with your friends." Mom replied, Jon was grounded for 1 week no car, no friends and he had to go straight home after work. This was the start of the first week.

"Fine." He grumbled and then trudged to the front door opened it and walked out

"Bye mom!" I said

"Bye" she replied while going upstairs to probably get her car keys

"Wow, you brother is a baby." Sam said as we walked out of the house

"Yeah I know right." I said as I got in the car and backed out the driveway

Once we got to the school, I first got my class schedule Sam came with me to get it she immediately took it and looked at which classes we had

"Hmm, we only have lunch and Physics together... Booo! This sucks." Sam said

"Really? Boo-hockey" I replied and pouted.

"C'mon let's go look for the guys." She said then walked me around the school showing me where my classes were and the such.

"Hey looky! It's Meggy!" Alex exclaimed while getting up from one of the tables

"Hey Alex" I said with a smile on my face and he came up to hug me, wow people are really nice here, I thought

"Meet Lisa," Alex said while gesturing to a girl with brunette hair sitting "She's my boo."

"Nice to meet you Lisa." I replied she then replied with a sweet smile and continued writing whatever she was in her notebook

"Hey, I'm Rian," A guy with shaggy brown hair came up to me "This is Kara." He said while he gestured to the girl with long brown hair and brown eyes next to him and Zack was behind them and gave me a small wave which I returned

"Hello, I'm Megan, nice to meet you all" I said while giving them a smile

"Hey, where's Jack-attack? Bell is gon' ring soon," Sam said just as the bell rang "Uh-oh, looks like he's going to be late first day." she added as we all walked back into the school

"Hey who else has Chem first?" I asked and Kara and Rian went to stand next to me smiling

"Wanna walk there together?" Kara asked as we all split ways

"Course!" I said smiling and went with them to Chemistry

Chemistry with Kara and Rian made first day less horrible, they went to their next class while I made my way to my locker to get some stuff for Biology, when I closed my locker Zack was standing behind it making me shriek and drop my binder

"Jesus Christ, Zack!" I said as I picked up the stuff I dropped

"My bad, I didn't know you were a scaredy cat" He said with a smirk on his face but I knew he was joking. I just turned around and headed to my next

"Oh Shuddup!" I replied as he walked next to me and didn't say a word "Didn't mean that literally Zack."

"I know" He said with a smile that could make any girls knees week "Anyways, what's your next class?" He added

"Uhm," I said trying to remember my next class "Oh! It's Trigonometry" I said with a smile

"Cool, mine too." He said then took a few more steps and entered a door which I assumed was Trig so I just followed him in and he patted the seat next to him so I went to go sit next to him. The teacher walked in right as the bell rang

"Hello class! I see some new faces so I am going to introduce myself once again.. I am Mr. Shackett." He said then started the lesson

After class Zack walked with me to the lunchroom after we got our food he guided me towards the table where all the others were

"Hey guys!" Rian said as we reached the table and sat down

"So how's first day Megan?" Lisa asked

"It's going good, I have classes with almost all of you so that's good." I said with a smile but noticed someone was missing "Where's Alex?" I asked

"He's still getting food with Jack, Oh there they are!" Kara answered and looked at Alex who was behind me so I turned around and saw a very familiar face walking with him towards the table... And holy mother of Johnny!

It was Jack Barakat the same one I was forced to leave 4 years ago..
He has grown so much! I mean believe it or not back in our day I was a good few inches taller than he was.. and his hair! It was all skunk like.. It was pretty awesome looking if I do say so myself..

He was just staring right back at me, probably cause I looked like an idiot and was staring at him wide-eyed and mouth on full exposure mode.

"Uh, Megan? You alright there bud?" Alex said as they sat down

"Oh! Uh, Y-yeah," I stammered "I was just uh, thinking?"

"Now why did that sound like a question?" Kara said

"Bah! You and your interrogations, can't I have lunch in peace woman!?!" I blurted out then munched on my food

"Woah, sorry.." She replied holding her hands against her chest and I just gave a small nod and smiled.

"So Megan," Jack's familiar voice said "You got a boyfriend?"

Oh. No. He. Didn't.

I've just recovered from seeing him after 4 years, then that's all he says!?! Not even a "Oh, Megan! How are you? What have you been up to?" What does he think he's doing?!... Wait.. I looked at him curiously, he was smirking at me... Jack wouldn't do that.. He doesn't even remember me?! What... The...

Okay, well I won't talk to him unless he comes up to me and says that he remembers me.. Then maybe, maybe I'll forgive him.

"No." I replied through clenched teeth How dare he not even recognize me.. OR MY NAME! "And neither am I interested in having one."

"Oh-hoh hoh. Friskeh.. I like it."

"Jack, shut up." Alex said smiling.

"Okay, okay.. I'm kidding." Jack replied with a smile as well "Let me re-do?" He asked me, I just nodded. At least he's not a complete douche.

"Hello Megan, my name is Jack. It's nice to meet such a pretty girl." He said with a smile and put his hand forward towards me, I stared at it skeptically.. What am I supposed to.. Oh... I then mentally slapped myself, he wanted a handshake. So I took his hand in mine from across the table and lightly shook it then let go and gave him a small smile he then smiled back and continued eating his food

"Wait, wait ,wait, wait, wait," Sam suddenly said quickly "Megan.. What the hell type of handshake of yours was that?"

"Uh... False?" I said nervously

'No, you dumbutt! I mean whats with all the formal boring stuff? Why don't you give Jack one of your special handshakes?" She said all cheery

I just shrugged my shoulders and continued eating.. To be honest I didn't wanna shake his hand with my special handshake because, he was the one who taught me that and I was afraid that if I did it, he still wouldn't recognize me and then I would just be sulky and depressed whenever I saw him or went anywhere near his friends

And I didn't wanna tell him I was me because.. Well because I guess I just wasn't ready.

Then I suddenly felt uncomfortable around them, I then stood up from the lunch table and went to throw away my remaining food and headed onto my next class but before I could make it out the door Sam yelled

"Yo Megan! WHERE YA GOING?!" I then turned around and quickly replied

"NEXT CLASS!" Making almost everyone stare at me.
