Fairy Dust

Clear Skies

*Frank's POV*

"I'm hungry!" I complained, we hadn’t eaten since breakfast and Gee hadn’t eaten at all since before his house got blown up.

"No wonder, its lunch time." Danger said checking his watch. We were still running.

"How long since we left the base?" Mikey asked.

"2 hours." Danger replied. Gerard groaned. He was last and he didn’t look like he wanted to go much further.

"Can we please rest?" he begged. We all stopped. We stood in a forest, the trees were frosted and the leaves all gone. The snow was deep under our boots and made crunching noises while we walked. The sky was blue with hardly any clouds and birds sang.

"Where are we going to eat, we got no cash?" I asked. My stomach rumbled.

"We might need to steal something unless we shoot a nice deer and cook it on an open fire." I shuddered.

"Frank's vegetarian." Gerard stated.

"Oh." Danger said. "Take back what I said then, when we find civilization we'll grab some food from a market or something." that’s when the gunfire started up. Bullets whizzed by our heads.

"Run!" I heard Mikey call out but I was already going as fast as I could. I prayed Gerards bullet wounds wouldn’t hurt him too much. He passed me with no problem it sure answered my question. I looked behind me; Danger and Mikey were right on my heels. Men’s voices rang out and more bullets missed us. Then it happened, I heard half a scream from behind me. I turned around to see Danger on the ground. Blood spatters stained the fluffy snow.

"Danger!" Mikey choked out. He went back for his boyfriend. I went back to get him.

"No Mikey, we’ll come back for him!" I strained my muscles to pull him with me and finally he followed.

"We'll be back Danger, I promise!" Mikey called to him.

"Be careful!" the faint voice replied. Gerard was quite far ahead of us and was crossing an open field. I could only pray he wasn’t in a place where they wanted him to be. Please don’t be a trap; please don’t be a trap...
